The Great Playbook Of Satan

Backstory

Mainly characterized by its alliteration and use of words that twist the tongue, this is one of many poems which highlight a national rebellion that is slowly settling in the corners of America. Eventually, all of these poems will be compiled into a artistic collection that will be showcased to this blog. This will be my first big project for my summer vacation. In short, this poem creatively warns readers of what I would call The Great Playbook of Satan. Specifically, the pages written in this “book” pinpoint to the 21st century America as we know it, which is blinded by its arrogance and passivity.

Woe to those whose name is not written!

Ye therefore have contributed to the Great Playbook of Satan!

When Judgement Day comes, your portion shall be measured:

From the words carved on its pages to the acts performed in secret.

What will you do when all the ink is burned to ashes?

What will you do when your part of his story is cut off by the flames of Hell?

The Great Playbook of Satan shall cease,

And the author shall receive his consequence for all things written and exercised through the blueprint.

The Death of Discipline

As I reflect on my third year of high school, I will say that our younger generation is under a period of moral decline. In short, our teenage youth have lost their way.

I am grateful that my mother has raised me in a predominantly Christian home, teaching me how to navigate the long path of righteousness. Even when it meant missing my favorite TV shows for a few days, and possibly having early bedtimes, it was worth correcting my attitude and reflecting on my moral failures. Among one of the primary rules me and my sister had to abide by was to use proper manners and to be respectful. To this day, I often find myself saying please and thank you a thousand times in one sentence: a common thing in England.

I am pleased to say that I have never ended up in detention, although I cannot say that about everyone in my class. Overall, I am generally a good and hard-working student, although I do have my imperfections.

Back in the 1970s, my mother was raised with Caribean parents whose children attended a predominantly Catholic school from a very young age. The nuns and the priests at that school were very strict. Back then, naughty kids used to get spanked at the headmaster’s office, or they would force you to write lines on paper. For high schoolers, serving Saturday detention meant mopping the floors and cleaning up the halls.

Nowadays, disciplining teenagers is a taboo practice. Now that schools are scrambling to get back on their feet after a whole two years on Zoom, we have compromised morality with “recovery and restorative measures”.

When I was a freshman at high school, I used to be given a lot of detention emails from the Attendance Office because I was testing in another room. I eventually had my absences cleared and excused by my case manager before the deadline arrived. Other than the obvious fact that I have accommodations due to my blindness, it showed me how strict the school used to be when it came to punctuality. The fear of getting grounded used to motivate teens to do their best in their endavops, and be civilized members of the community.

Now, flash forward two years into the coronavirus pandemic. During the first semester of in-person instruction, my school got rid of detentions to allow the students to emotionally and mentally adjust back to the old routine of classroom lectures. The worst punishment you could get for getting into an altercation was to do mediation and see a counselor. When the Devious Lick challenge came to fruition, they sent us an email threatening to arrest any and all partakers of the challenge. But, by then, it was too late.

This semester was no better. Although we back detention back, I do not believe we were firm in correcting wrong behaviors and habitual attempts to ditch class. Staff have warned students that teachers would assign detentions in the event of immoral conduct. Yet, it seems as those the threat of detention no longer fazes them or sways their conscience. Not too long ago, half of my class was caught cheating on a history test, and very little was done to correct the situation.

By being so lax in the way we discipline our children, we are teaching them that they can live anyhow and not suffer any consequences for their behavior, which is indeed a lie. Society is teaching our teenage generation that a life of immorality is an essential criteria to gaining success and climbing the ladder of popularity, therefore making it acceptle and pleasing.

A great deal of the Word of God stresses on the moral principle of reaping and sowing. When we do bear good fruit, we sow love and good character, harvesting righteousness and purity. When we sow bad fruit, we harvest strife, trouble, and calamity.

This is a key principle we must teach our children when we carry out Godly correction and discipline. Sometimes, the consequence may not be pleasant, but down the road, they will cherish the hidden lessons taught along the way.

Hebrews 12:7-12 states:

6, For whom the Lord loves, he chastens [disciplines], And scourges [corrects] every son whom he receives.”
7, It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with sons, for what son is there whom his father doesn’t discipline?
8, But if you are without discipline, whereof all have been made partakers, then are you illegitimate [spoiled ⠃⠗⠁⠞⠎⠨⠜⠂ and not sons.
9, Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
10, For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.
11, All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised thereby.

Although it is good to consider our children’s mental and emotional health, as well as their overall wellness, it is important that we do not neglect to lovingly discipline them when they step out of line. It may hurt them for a while. But, one day, they will thank us (and God) for it. Discipline teaches us to seek holiness above all things, and to be mindful of the limits we must continually abide by in the pursuit of Godly living.

I would like to close out this presentation with some insight into what I observed this past school year. The Scriptures prophesied a time period called the falling away (or the Great Moral Decline). There would come a time where children would disobey their parents, and many would become lovers of pleasure, money, popularity, and image rather than Jesus.

Satan has convinced our teenage generation that sin is an error of minute concern– that the daily behaviors they practice and osberve do not testify to the state of their hardened hearts and their seared consciences. As a people, we have failed in our sacred obligation to hold our youth accountable for refusing to maintain and abide by the high moral standards that our Heavenly Father has explicitly demanded of us through the many pages of His sacred text that cries out to society’s greatest conflict: A rebellious and unteachable culture.

So help us God: To reteach and reinforce your expectations, to guide our children to the path of holiness, and to raise a generation of leaders who will refuse to compromise their upbringing for the pursuit of admiration from the crowd! Amen!

Satan Visits The Church

In February 2022, as a supplement to our semester-long study of morality in my Christian club, I initiated a creative writing project that was inspired by some of the events that have unfolded during the onslaught of the coronavirus pandemic.

After sitting down and doing some reflection on the pandemic, I remembered a period of time throughout 2020, and the early months of 2021, when the church was undergoing a time of great deception and confusion, mainly in mainstream evangelical churches. After reading Tracy’s publication titled “Are we Being Tested”, I reflected on the false prophecies that have been going around during Covid. In a future post, I will share with you a few purposes that I believe were accomplished during the lockdown. But, one of the main ones I shared with Tracy is that the church is being tested and tried by fire to see if we are truly doing what we are supposed to be doing: Following and sharing the truth of the Gospel. Remember Job’s trials from Satan? Remember Daniel and the lion’s den? Remember the fiery furnace? Remember the persecution of the early Christians? These were all trials to prove the authenticity of their faith, and whether they actually have the capacity to apply what we have been taught to our daily lives: both in the good and the bad times.

Unfortunately, a majority of professing Christians are failing the coronavirus test by chasing after false teachers who tickle their ears with smooth lips who tell them what they want to hear. Some have even turned to atheism, or worse, have started outright worshipping Satan and joining the occult as a result of the uncertainty we have faced. Some have started drinking, and some have participated in protests that accomplish nothing but calamity and chaos. This was foretold in 2 Timothy chapter 4. The following excerpt comes from verses 3-5 in the World English Bible version, which inspired the creation of this project.

3, For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts;
4, And will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables.
5, But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.

Isn’t this the phenomenon we are witnessing today? Preachers claiming to cure the coronavirus while casting judgement on a supposedly “corrupt” voting system that did not elect their golden calf? Even a well-known televangelist claiming to cast judhement on Covid and Satan while spitting at a guillible audience who does not give a SQUAT about rebuking sin? Yet, when Lil Nas X released that Satan video last year, we kicked up an emotional meltdown, as if our puffed-up flesh was getting attacked by “the work of Satan”! Church, we have a lot of work to do!

Take all of the drama, and you get, …. … a dramatic documentary! WOAH! Lay down the tapes!

Backstory Behind The Name

The story behind this written documentary was not actually based on political tensions alone. Rather, it is based on a trend that has been circulating across many evangelical churches in America during the early stages of the Covid-19 outbreak. What I am present is not necessarily an abstract narrative as I have written over the course of the past two years.

Proir to the culmination of this documentary, I composed three plays based on the 2020 election and the political upheaval that followed the election (details to come in a future post). Quite frankly, “Satan Visits the Church” may be one of the most challenging and emotional pieces I would have created since Covid started. The name of the piece suggests that there are secrets hidden under the scope of televangelism and the quest to obtain knowledge of the spiritual world in a time where a great plague has put us in the position of standing against the wall. I am of the firm conviction that we are living in a time where fear is so prevalent, that it prompts us to examine Biblical prophecy and eschatology through the lens of cultural trends, politics, and the function of the church. If you tie all of these together, we have a mystery we have to uncover. I firmly believe that Satan has been a major figure that has greatly influenced the functioning of the church and a continually evolving civilization in a climate where sin is socially acceptable. The problem is that the fears we associate with the Covid vaccines and other uncertainties cloud our knowledge and understanding, inherently creating a flawed view of Satan and the spiritual realm. Thus, it would inevitably create a flawed view of God. You will hear heart-wrenching, and often sad, chilling, and outright touching testimonies from three Spanish immigrants who face a period of spiritual testing. You will also hear stories from other figures who were a part of the scandal.

⠠⠏⠇⠕⠞

In this documentary, three Spanish immigrants undergo years of tribulation and suffering that has sent the family unit to their knees. For the bioligical mother of two adopted children raised in Catholic school, the search for knowledge and healing have led her to cut corners. After their local church burns down to the ground, a false prophet named Sire Victor, who is a secret high priest of the LaVeyan Church of Satan, is elected as a priest in a different cathedral, where he prophesies riches and financial growth while proclaiming the healing of their gravely ill grandmother hospitalized with Covid.

The family had been homeless for years. The youngest adoptive child, 9-year-old Lee Darwin, lost both her former parents in a tragic house fire. Four years later, he lives with an 11-year-old brother named Eli, who is a Catholic who is led astray by the tribulations that take place, and well as old wounds from religious fanatics. Later in the play, you will notice varouis accounts from witnesses mentioning her future plan to eventually join the Church of Satan if things don’t improve.

Eventually, after being forewarned about Victor’s prophecy, Meredith Darwin, the biological mother of two children, makes a decision to sell her soul for a beautiful, exotic mansion. After a month gambling in the casino to pay for Catholic education, the mansion gets destroyed by a typhoon, leaving her to spend three nights in the hospital.

With two members of the family devoted their lives to the luxury Satan enticed them with, the mission to capture this false prophet goes underway, and Lee is put to the ultimate test to stay on the path of Jesus. After a series of interviews and testimonies given out, the false prophet is charged with fraud, theft, and over 20 counts of extortion and sacrilege.

So, what is this hidden secret Satan keeps from Meredith and the public? Glamor glorifies the eyes of a guillible idiot.

Conclusion

The final, pulished copy of this thought-provoking play should be released by the end of May, or at the latest, the first week of June. The original plan was to have it published to the school’s literature magazine, but that may not happen until next year, since I have a lot of homework to work on, and I have been out a lot these past three weeks. Regardless of what form it is, I pray that the creation and publication of this presentation will challenge me and many others to learn more about the Word of God and mature in their faith.

My Essential Question of Experimentation For This Piece

What happens when the head of the family is led astray, and only the youngest member is still walking in the light?

Don’t stay too long

Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour’s house; Lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee. Proverbs 25:17 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.25.17.KJV

Is listening so hard?

Sometimes it seems that we just can’t listen to each other’s problems or to our preacher’s sermons. Listening to each other is the best way to get along with each other, yet there are so many problems between couples and countries all over the world. Most of those problems could be solved if we could put our pride and our attitudes on a shelf and sit down like adults and talk and listen to each other!

This would solve many if not most of the world’s problems, but it seems that when pride gets in the way and our attitudes become broiled in the juices of envy and hatred, then our ears and the ability to listen to each other becomes cut off or stopped up. Believe me, Satan has his hand and his followers all in the middle of these conflicts, whether it is between a man and woman trying to make their marriage work or between political parties in a country!

Our ears, spiritually and physically, become muddled to the point that we don’t hear what we should and we hear only part of what we shouldn’t. Which causes more misunderstandings and problems and it just gets worse from there, like a wet snowball rolling downhill. Pretty soon the problem or the snowball is so big that it can’t be fixed or stopped by just one person!

Jesus listened with His ears and with His heart and that is something which the church in general seems to have lost the ability to do, especially in the times that we live in today! The problem that we have is that we can’t understand the problem today because we aren’t really listening with our spiritual ears, our heart. We listen with our ears but we try to use psychobabble to “take care of the problem”, or make people feel good about themselves, or try to work around the issue.

In truth…all we are doing is putting a band-aid over a large cut or rather we are bandaging it but we aren’t helping in the healing of it. This kind of “help” is not helping at all, it only makes the problems worse! Like putting used tires on a car every six months, they wear out sooner and will still go flat easier than new ones, even if they are cheaper it is not helping.

Making people feel better about themselves is good, but spiritually it is suicide and murder. If you smooth over people’s sins and make them feel okay about them without telling them about salvation through Jesus, you are not a preacher…you are acting as a psychiatrist and that won’t do anyone good for eternity! PREACH FROM THE BIBLE! Tell the salvation and healing story of Jesus and His atonement for all of us from the gospels!

People need that today more than they know! John 3:16 is so powerful that it is a sermon in itself! Please, the Church needs to wake up and be the Body of Christ that this world needs NOW! This world will soon be in more of a situation than anyone alive has ever seen or experienced and the only rescue is through Jesus!

If my people….

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

What would really happen if Christians, not just in America but all over the world, took this to heart? Could a change happen? Would we be determined in our worship enough to keep on being humble in His presence until something..everything began to change? I would hope so.

The world sorely needs this to happen everywhere, in all countries, even those who don’t follow God nor believe in Jesus as the Savior! Especially in those countries! The church, the body of believers in countries where persecution is a daily practice, is growing just as it did in the early centuries after Jesus’ death and resurrection. Some would ask, “Why?”, and the answer to that is this: when persecution comes the church leans on and depends upon God more than ever before.

So, why can’t we depend on Him when we aren’t being persecuted? We should be thanking Him and praising Him for living in a country where persecution is not so bad yet! We should be getting out into the streets and telling people about Him, so why aren’t we? Because we are afraid.

We are afraid that the people will see us as freaks or religious nuts. I would rather be a nut in God’s basket than a huge rock in Satan’s fortress!

Yes, we are afraid to let people see that we actually believe in something or Someone! Why? Because we don’t want to be lumped in with all of those “deplorables”! What is so bad about being seen as a true believer in Christ? Many seem to be afraid of being seen as a fanatic. The disciples were fanatics! The early church would be considered fanatical in their beliefs, so much so until they were killed and tortured in ways that are hard to imagine today.

God loves you and He doesn’t require you or me to be a fanatic with our faith, but He will give you the strength and the words to go with it if you will. You don’t have to walk around carrying a cross or stand on a corner yelling about the end of the world being near, but in the world that we live in people still need to hear the message. Many don’t come to church, so the only way they will find the message is to put it out on the web or be a nuisance enough to get your message on the news.

Jesus told His disciples to go and tell the whole world about the gospel and they did. It seems that the church has drawn back from being the voice of Jesus in our world. We will shine the light in our community, but taking it with us into our workplace or into the city and the towns nearby is another thing. We are supposed to be the feet of Jesus too! By taking His gospel with us at work, at school, at home, into restaurants (fast food or otherwise), people will see our faith, if they don’t want to see it they don’t have to look or listen.

We should turn our lives and our hearts back to belief in Jesus and serve Him in every way that we can, especially at home teaching our children Who and why we believe in Him! Because as soon as they leave home for college, their minds will be open to many things and if Christ isn’t in their hearts and minds, then something or someone else will get in there.

The plans of Satan

I’m reading “The Third Heaven: The Birth of God” by Donovan Neal, Natalie Davis and wanted to share this quote with you.

This quote below is from a speech which Lucifer/Satan was giving to his followers, his fallen angels, regarding how they were to interact with humanity. His plan seems to have worked very well considering how our world is today, don’t you think?

“Follow the pattern that I have set, and make the male dominate the female, set young against old and use their hues and shade of skin to divide them. Raise up among them great ones, and those of low estate plant greed and envy in their ranks. Sow fear and distrust amongst them, that they never see unity of worship to El”

In our world today, there is no “unity of worship” toward God or almost any other religion. We are fractured and broken to a point of disagreement which staggers the imagination. Many divisions in the church such that there are approximately 38,000 denominations worldwide. How is this unity of worship, even though almost all of these are Christian churches? We split on disagreements between friends, deacons and the pastor and many other things it seems, sometimes we split over trivial things.

The church which started on the day of Pentecost, is not the church that we have today. Most congregations are more interested, it seems, in the number of people listed as members and the attendance on Sundays, as well as the amount given in the offering plates, than they are in serving the Lord and becoming more like Jesus!

To give you a bit of accuracy and credentials to back this up, here is a definition which will clear things up a bit:

Denominations. A denomination is defined in this Encyclopedia as an organized aggregate of worship centers or congregations of similar ecclesiastical tradition within a specific country; i.e. as an organized Christian church or tradition or religious group or community of believers, within a specific country, whose component congregations and members are called by the same denominational name in different areas, regarding themselves as one autonomous Christian church distinct from other denominations, churches and traditions. As defined here, world Christianity consists of 6 major ecclesiastico-cultural blocs, divided into 300 major ecclesiastical traditions, composed of over 33,000 distinct denominations in 238 countries, these denominations themselves being composed of over 3,400,000 worship centers, churches or congregations.” (Barrett et al, volume 1, page 16, Table 1-5, emphasis added)   (http://www.philvaz.com/apologetics/a106.htm)

The church which began soon after the resurrection of Jesus, has splintered into so many pieces which have many differing views and rules and orders of worship, until it seems that it is no longer a unified body of believers at all. While it is true that most of them worship God and Jesus as His Son, some have a different viewpoint regarding exactly Who they are.

Some don’t believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, some teach that parts of the Bible, God’s Holy Inspired Word, are wrong or that it doesn’t apply to the “modern church”.

God doesn’t change and His Word is true today just as it was at the time that He inspired the writers to write it down. There are no parts of it which are wrong, unless you just don’t want to believe it because it offends you or someone you love. God’s Word is true because God doesn’t change and He gave the words to those who wrote it down, so why is it that people don’t want to believe it? Because, we don’t want to learn the rules or learn about God.

Many don’t want to become a Christian because they believe that the rules will keep them from enjoying their life. Why do you believe this? The rules in the Old Testament about food and the sacrifices needed don’t apply to us today! The Ten Commandments will condemn you because all of us have broken one or two or more of them and they do still carry the same punishment that they did when they were given.

If you won’t give your life to Jesus and ask Him to come into your life and change your heart into His, why not? Have you felt a hollow feeling in your life and have never been able to fill it with the things of this world? The reason is because that empty place is made for Jesus to fill and nothing else. All of us have felt that place inside us which we know is empty and we feel like something should be there, but we don’t know what. Some of us go for many years without finding out what fits in that place…well now you know. The Holy Spirit of God fits in there and He only comes when you ask Jesus to come in and cleanse you, making you whole and a part of God’s family.

How do you live?

Are you a Christian? Do you believe in Jesus’ atonement for your life? Have you walked with Jesus or did you just get baptized and go on with your life?

Do you deny that Jesus is real? Do you believe that He was “just a prophet”?

If you believe and you accept Him as your Savior, then the first sentence should apply to your life, but are you living your life according to His will for you? It is a question that needs to be answered by all of us. Have you “given your life to Him”, but then walked away from the church and never went back? You are denying Him.

If, on the other hand, you fall into the group of people who don’t believe in God or Jesus at all, then who do you believe in? Yourself? Satan or Allah? Mohammed? Can you change the color of your skin or your hair by thinking about it? Of course not, you and I are not going to be gods and we can’t do anything like God can.

Has Satan appeared to you in a robe of white with wings so bright you couldn’t see? He can you know. Mohammed is dead and he isn’t coming back until God raises him up one day to pay for what he did in his life.

Satan can appear as an angel of light and he can tell you that he is Gabriel if he chooses to, but that doesn’t make it the truth. Mankind is easily deceived and especially when it comes to the master of lies who has had many thousands of years to perfect his deception. One day there will be a man who will appear to be our savior and he will be able to do things that will look miraculous, like Jesus did, but he will be a false savior. Many people will be taken in by him and his words and power that he shows, but he is not the Son of God.

All of those words that I wrote in the past couple of sentences are foretold in Daniel and in the book of Revelation. It is God’s Word and it is True. It will come to pass. I don’t know when, but with all that is happening around the world I would bet that it won’t be much more than a decade or so away. I could be wrong, of course. The point that I am trying to make is that when this person shows up and everyone seems to think he is so wonderful, that should cause a bell to go off in your mind. Remember what you may have heard or read in the Bible or in Sunday school.

Don’t just follow someone blindly because they seem to be more than they are! Many false “Christs” have appeared in the past, but they all died. Many things are going to happen in the near future which will cause many people in the church to leave their faith behind. When all of this begins, take notice and get a Bible and read it. If you have lived a life which wouldn’t have been acceptable to Jesus, then you should repent and ask for His forgiveness.

Why? Because if you see all of these things happening then the end is getting very near. When the peace treaty between Israel and all of her enemies is signed and the Temple begins to be built, take note of who is brokering that deal. All of these must happen before Jesus comes to get the elect, His church, His Bride. Make sure that you are part of that number. In the picture there are many promises for His elect, if you have repented of your sins and given your heart to Him and asked for His forgiveness.

Satan is happy today!

Satan is happy with the church right now.

“….Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.”  Matthew 28:19

Do you understand why all of the problems are in the world today? It is because of ___________.

Really? The church has had two thousand years to make disciples of ALL nations and what have we done? Not much. Yes, there have been millions of people who have accepted Jesus as their Savior because of Billy Graham and other evangelists over the years. But…look at the population of the world. How many of them are Christians or part of a religion which claims Jesus as their Savior? 2.5 billion give or take a few hundred thousand. The population of the world is around seven billion right now and all we have reached in two thousand years is less than half??

On the day of Pentecost, when the disciples received the Holy Spirit, when Peter preached there were 5000 added to their number! That was just one sermon! The blank above referring to the reason for all of the world’s problems has nothing to do with Christianity, although some are blaming us for them. Satan and his followers, those demons that Jesus cast out and his human followers today, are partly to blame for the problems of the world.

Why is Satan happy with the way the world is today and the church in particular? It is because we aren’t doing what Jesus told us to do. Yes, I know we are sending missionaries all over the world and we have programs and Internet sites which tell people about Jesus and how to know Him. But, we just began that in the last twenty or twenty-five years or so! What happened to the last 1975 years that the church has had to work on this?

I don’t mean that the church could’ve added as many as Peter did in that one day, every day since then but if we had gone, if we had put our feet into the streets and the paths around the world every day since then….? Don’t you think that we would have more people who attend church and follow Jesus if we had done this? I mean, if we had witnessed to one or two people every day since we became a Christian and then invited them to church, doesn’t it begin to add up when you do that?

1+1=2 …then 2+2=4, then 4+1=5, then 5+2=7, then 7+2=9…that is linear progression that is staggered a bit by our own design; but what if those numbers doubled EVERY time? 1, then 2, then 4, then 8, then 16, then 32, then 64, then 128, then 256, then 512, then 1024, then 2048, then 4096……! That is geometric growth or getting into algebra (x squared).

What happened to our numbers? Why isn’t the church growing like this?

Because our enemy and the enemy of God, Satan, is at work in the world today. People give many excuses for not coming to church, for not telling others what they believe and for not being a true disciple of Jesus and all of these are encouraged by Satan and his demons. You can decide to believe this if you wish or don’t believe it, but if Jesus was having to deal with their influence 2000 years ago, then they are certainly at work today.

You can hear about the evil and their influence in the world on the news every day and all of that which is happening is likely caused by or influenced by Satan and his followers. It will get worse because he knows that his time is growing very short. He has had more than twenty centuries to become very good at deception so much so that he can influence the churches and their leaders to not follow the example set by Jesus and His disciples. Many of them think that they are doing God’s work and they are following the ideas placed in their heads by Satan himself, but he uses scripture to make it seem like the idea is from God.

He was there when all of the Bible was written so he knows scripture better than any of us and he can use it against you any time he wishes. So, is he happy with the church today? Yes, he is. There aren’t very many true, Bible-believing and teaching churches today. Sure, there are pastors who preach every week and they read scripture and teach about it. But, are they teaching God’s vision for His church or are they teaching their own version of the words that they read? Do they teach it from its context or do they choose one verse and preach on that without the verses before or after it?

Taken out of context, any verse can say or be taught to mean anything to anyone!

The scripture which I started with could mean anything if taught wrongly. Let us read the entirety of that chapter and see what was written there:

Matthew 28 King James Version (KJV)

28 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We are told to do this because we belong to Him, if we have given our hearts to Jesus. If you haven’t, then you don’t belong to Him nor He to you! God loves you and has provided a way to salvation through Jesus and belief in Him so that you can have eternity after this life! With such a good and wonderful gift to you, why wouldn’t you tell others that they could have the same? He didn’t die for one person but for the whole world and He expected us to go and tell others about His gift. Examine your life and your heart and question whether you really belong to Him. If you believe that you do, then you are saved as far as I can see because only God knows the condition of our hearts. If you are not sure, then you may want to seek Him earnestly and fervently so that you can know…for sure.

Amen.
