I’ve asked many people in the past and even recently, “How are you doing?”. Most tell me they are fine or OK but are they really? We get so used to giving people quick answers to questions like this when deep down we really aren’t doing as well as we try to make it seem. Most people don’t know each other very well these days so an answer like this is just accepted and “no harm, no foul”. But what about you?
Sometimes I have expressed exactly how I feel and people look at me like something is growing out of my ear. If we actually are honest with each other would that make a difference in the world? Maybe. So, are you really okay?
God loves you and He cares about you. It doesn’t matter to Him if you are feeling down or if you are on top of the world. He will always be there with you either way. IF you have given your heart to Him and live by that decision every day then your life can be OK every day. Wake up by giving Him praise for letting you have another day to serve Him. Life is too short to look at things the way that the world looks at them. Most of the world seems to think that the sun rotates around them and the whole world is their oyster.
What good is having the whole world today, right now, and then spending eternity in hell? Have you ever considered how long that is? Most of us won’t live for one hundred years and that’s not even equivalent to the blink of your eye when compared to eternity. Even the lifetimes of Noah and Adam don’t count much when compared to eternity and both of them lived for more than 900 years!
I pray that everyone who reads this will seek Jesus to be their Savior soon because we are living at the edge of the Tribulation.
For many years, many of us were in debt. Today there are many who are in debt to banks and credit cards and to the government and to so many other things. Some are so attached to drugs and sex and fame and popularity that they can’t get away from their social media for even five minutes. Why? Our world and many of the people in it are so locked into these media systems that even one or two small things that are negative can cause them to consider suicide. Even small things can bring a very dark feeling into their inner being.
If you don’t know about Jesus when this darkness comes, you will search everywhere for something to get rid of it. Many people do this and they will go down some even darker paths than they should and they are searching for a way to get out of the darkness. But…Satan is leading them in the wrong direction since he can pose as an angel of light.
You are in debt to Jesus for the debt that He paid for you. You should work for Him after you’ve given your heart to Him because He is the Light of the World. It is His Light that brings people out of the darkness. He is the only One that can bring peace and light into this world of darkness and pain that we live in. Jesus paid the debt for ALL of us, whether we accept His gift of grace and love or not is our part in our individual salvation. We feel the touch of the Holy Spirit that convicts us about our need for salvation. It is our acceptance of this knowledge and our act of accepting it into our hearts that brings us to be saved.
If you decide that you would rather live your life in sin by walking away from your conviction of being a sinner, then you will likely never be brought back to being convicted that you need salvation.
I pray that this doesn’t happen to many people. I pray that when they are called and convicted of their need for salvation that they can’t turn away from it. God loves each of us and when His Holy Spirit touches your heart and shows you that you need Jesus, I pray that you will accept it and then take your gift of salvation and tell others about it. Tell them why they need Him because all of us need Him for our salvation. The Son of God died for our sins and we shouldn’t look down on His sacrifice by turning away from it.
The whole world is waiting for something to happen. But…what is it waiting for? It isn’t a “what”, it is Who! There is only one more event that is going to get the attention of the world and that will be the return of Jesus to take His Bride, the Church, home. Can you imagine? All of the Christians of two thousand years coming out of their tombs, wherever they may be, in their resurrection bodies! That is going to be a huge crowd of people to meet Jesus in the air! Almost at the same moment, the Christians who are alive on that day and time will be changed and they will meet Him as well.
To the world’s scientists and many who do not believe in Jesus, this day is a fairytale. It is just some mythical story from an old book. But on that day when it happens…everyone who has heard of this story will see the proof before their eyes. Some will mourn because they didn’t go with their friends and family who might have disappeared in front of them. Many more people in the world will be angry and mournful because of the consequences of all of the disappearances. The car wrecks and planes crashing and many other things that happened because of those who left this world for a better one.
Many young children will be missing as well, especially infants and those who were about to be born but were taken back to heaven. Yes, they were innocent of sin and they will be taken. Life will change drastically for the world after this day and it won’t be better. If you’ve ever read about the days of tribulation mentioned in the book of Revelation, this is when it will begin.
I pray that anyone who has questions about their salvation or even if they are saved through Jesus, please seek Him in prayer and through the gospels in the New Testament. Don’t wait until that day comes because we don’t know how much longer we have. I may not be alive when this happens. You may not be alive tomorrow, no one is guaranteed a certain number of years. Make sure of your salvation soon.
When you watch the news, regardless of the channel, what do you see? A world that is going crazy or a Bible prophecy coming true before our eyes?
I see both of them happening at the same time. It seems that the world is moving faster toward the “end of the age” than it ever has before. Disease, wars, and the threat of war are everywhere it seems. The temperature of the whole world is rising along with the level of the ocean. There are droughts and famine and inflation in our country as well as in other countries. All of this was foretold in the Bible thousands of years ago. Some of it may not have been foretold in the same words that we use today but the words of those who were writing the prophecies down can still be interpreted to mean what we have today.
God is getting ready to let the entire world know that He exists in a BIG way. Whether you believe in Him or not won’t matter especially after the rapture of the church. There will be millions who have been in church and heard many sermons but they have never given their heart to Jesus and when that day comes they will regret their decision or their lack of a decision.
It may not look like this when it happens because people will disappear in front of their co-workers and their spouses in less than the time it takes to blink your eye. Their clothes will be here along with their socks and shoes and their wedding ring but they will be gone. It will be a glorious reunion day for some and a very bad day for others. Everything will change in an instant on that day. So…where will you be? Will you be among those who are taken to be with Jesus or will you be here wondering why you didn’t make that decision while you could?
Augustine wrote, “Thou hast formed us for Thyself, and our hearts are restless till they find rest in Thee.”
This quote from an early church leader says more about the human condition than most sermons ever will. All of us are restless. Once we realize that we have no direction in life and feel no real purpose in our lives there is an anxious feeling deep inside each person. Some try to fill it with “busyness”. Whether that is work or school or family or fame and fortune, all of us try to fill that empty feeling place in our hearts with something. The problem is that we don’t know what will make that empty feeling go away until we find Jesus.
He is the only person that can fill that place. Our acceptance of Him as our Savior is the only way to take that restless feeling away. Many people have struggled their entire lives trying to fill that empty space with many things or many people or hobbies and when they finally find their Savior…they realize that feeling of restlessness is gone. For many of us, this is a lifelong pursuit. Many people never find that Person that fills the empty area of our life that has been there for so long.
Some may find it while they are young but they will walk away from knowing Him fully until later in their life. Many have thought that they found salvation and then lost it when it was really their own selfishness that caused them to walk away from a deeper relationship with Jesus. If you truly were saved at a young age and then decided to ignore the Holy Spirit’s voice for many years, you may not have been saved at all or you were very good at pushing Him away. Some days it feels like I did this for a time although I did come back to Him in the past twenty-five years or so. I have become closer to Jesus over that period of time and I now consider Him to be my closest friend.
Why did I push Him away? Because I was selfish. I wanted to do things my way even when I felt and heard His Spirit speaking in the back of my mind. I would ignore Him until I couldn’t hear Him anymore. This is a very dangerous thing to do but I did it for a number of years. God finally got my attention…thankfully. I pray that anyone who reads this small confession of mine will seek Jesus out today and ask Him to be their Savior and Lord because our time is drawing to a close. The time of the Gentiles and the “age of grace” is coming to an end. All of the signs are in the news and prophecy is being fulfilled every day. Don’t wait. Accept Him while there is time.
This song that most of us have heard and sung as children, is very relevant today. Because Jesus does love all of us. He may not like your lifestyle or the places you’ve been lately if you haven’t accepted Him as your Savior but He still loves you just the same. Why am I starting this article this way? Because, everyone needs to know that they are loved by God and our Creator, Jesus. It doesn’t matter if you are three years old or ninety-three years old, we need to know that we are loved by Him.
God looks at the heart of each one of us and regardless of how much we think we have messed up our life…we are still loved. We are created in His image after all and God loves us. “What if I don’t believe in God?”, you might ask. To that, I will say that God believes in you and He loves you. Not the celebrity, not the Congressman or Congresswoman, not the “profession” that you work at. God loves you!
We are all made up of three parts, just as God is a Triune being so are we. We have a physical body and our mind and our soul and it is our soul that stands out when God looks at us. That is the part of us that He wants to bring salvation to before the end of our life in our physical body. If you have given your “heart” to Jesus then He has your soul and one day in heaven your soul will be reunited with your resurrected body physically. I know, right now it doesn’t make much sense but one day in the near future it will. Work toward that goal in your life today to know Him as your Savior by accepting Him as your Savior by your belief in Him.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jas.1.5.KJV
The best education that you can have in this life can’t be found at a university or a college. It is found in God’s Word. This wonderful book is God’s love letter to humanity! Yes, it was written to the Jewish people by Jewish scholars but it is also a love letter to the rest of us too. If it was only for the Jewish people and nobody else, Jesus wouldn’t have said anything about the “other flocks that I want you to take this gospel to”.
We are the other sheep that He was speaking about…the church. The wisdom that we can gain from God’s Word is the kind that we are supposed to give to others during our lifetime. If you knew that there was a way that could guarantee that everyone you tell about Jesus would give their hearts to Him wouldn’t you tell them? We have been given a present that is worth more than all of the gold and the money in this world and it was given to us without cost. All that we had to do was to believe in Jesus as our Savior…just believe in Him for your salvation. Why shouldn’t we be willing to give it away? It didn’t cost us one penny or one drop of our blood but it did cost Jesus His life and His blood and He would’ve gone to the cross if there was only one sinner to save.
That is how much God loves each of us! He makes sure that we can know Him by reading and studying His Word. God never gives up on us unless we keep pushing Him away and telling His Holy Spirit to leave us alone. When you come to the point of knowing Who you need and what you need to do and then you turn away from Him, you may never come to that point in your spiritual life again.
We are at the point in history and prophecy where the age of grace, the church age, is about to come to an end. There is very little, if anything, that has to happen before the Trumpet sounds and calls ALL believers home to Him. I pray that every person who reads this post will seek out their Savior in Jesus Christ. Time is short so don’t wait.
