Help me be acceptable in your sight

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14 KJV

Our lives are filled with times of pride and times of loss. Which one is worse or better doesn’t matter because our pride causes many problems in our lives because it is the chief sin from which all others spring. It was because of pride that Satan rebelled against God and was cast out. It was because of pride that Cain’s offering was rejected because he was showing what he had done and not offering a sacrifice to atone for his own sins.

It is pride that brings so many families to a point of splitting apart and it also causes many churches to split as well. There are many other problems in our world that are caused by pride and many times they become bigger than they should. But…what are we to do? Truly, we are supposed to “love the Lord with all of our heart, mind, soul and our strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves“. But do we really do this? Jesus was explaining the parable of the good Samaritan when He said this, so should we do this too?

We should but many times in our lives we don’t. God loves us deeply because He gave His Son for our sins so that we could come to Him whenever we needed Him. He already knows what we need but He does like to hear our prayers about those things anyway. We should pray to Him not only for the things that we need but also for just praising Him for His goodness and His love for us too. Make sure that you tell God how much He means to you because He does like to hear it. He knows your heart and more about you than you know yourself, but like any father, He still likes to hear from His children.

There may not be many more years until Jesus comes to take the church home so make sure that you know Him as your Savior…but most of all make sure that He knows you too!

The just shall live by faith

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17 KJV

The time is getting closer

Jesus told His disciples what would begin just as the last days were coming to pass. Men would be running to and fro and knowledge would be increased. Mankind would be lovers of themselves and diseases would be rampant upon the Earth along with wars happening everywhere. Most of what I’ve written is from Daniel chapter 9 and 12 but Jesus told of these things as well. Our time is drawing down just as a well gets more shallow when there hasn’t been any rain, so the time of grace and the church age is coming to a close.

Just as God saved Noah from the flood, the church will be taken up from the Earth before the Tribulation begins. Some say that the first three and a half years will be Satan’s wrath poured out against the church and Israel and that the church won’t leave until that is done but ALL of the seven years were prophesied for the sons of Abraham, not the church. God uses that time to punish and teach them that their Messiah has come and they rejected Him. God knows His own and He will punish those who have hurt any of the Jewish people.

Life on Earth is going to become very difficult and painful during the Tribulation but God will cut that time short so that there will be a remnant of those who belong to Him. Jesus taught in Matthew 24 about the way the world would be at the end of the age. His disciples wanted to know when this would happen and the only sign that was given was the budding of the fig tree. The fig tree represents Israel and when they became a nation in 1948, that was when the clock began ticking for the countdown toward the Tribulation. Then in 1967, Israel won the war to rejoin Jerusalem and now it is their capital.

So many prophecies have come to pass in the last seventy years until there is only one left that will stun the world…the taking up of the church. When that day comes there will be no doubt among those who have attended a church service or have read their Bible concerning what has happened. They will know and if they were left here, it will be a sad day. Because even if they thought they were Christians they will know that they were only fooling themselves. God knows your heart and He knows exactly who has given their lives to Jesus and who has not.

Anyone who reads this should truly search their lives and their soul and make sure today that Jesus knows you as well as you may know Him. If your knowledge is only knowing about Him, that isn’t enough.

I will trust in the Lord!

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2 KJV

He is your Savior, follow Him and live!

Nothing can separate us from the love of God

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39 KJV

If you’ve given your heart to Jesus, nothing can take you from His love. You will be protected in His hand until this life is over. Then you will be in His Presence into eternity.

When you pray…

Begin your day with prayer. As you wake up, thank God for the day and ask Him to give you strength for today and the trials that may come with it. Seek to find someone that you can tell about Jesus Christ because that is our purpose after giving our heart to Him. Ask Him to forgive you of your sinful thoughts and to help keep you from sinning today. God will answer these requests because they are in line with His will for your life in Christ.

Don’t pray in public. This prayer time is for you and God and nobody else. He loves you more than anyone else in the world so make sure you talk to Him through prayer as soon as possible when you wake up. You have another day to be His witness to those around you, so make it a good day by starting out with prayer.

Our Savior…

Sometimes it seems that our world just flies off on a tangent that has no relation to the reality in the world but only in the mind of those who are loudly blasting it on the Internet or in the news media. It especially happens during election years depending upon the “news” that is being shotgunned everywhere.

Although, if you are a Christian, you know Who is in control of it all. God is never on the sidelines and He never loses sight of what is happening here on Earth and in each of our lives. I mean if He keeps up with the little sparrows then He can surely keep up with us as well. Jesus said that “even the hairs of your head are numbered”, so since God’s knowledge of us goes that intimate don’t you think that He truly cares for you? Because He does!

In the book of John, Jesus is referred to as the Living Word and He is. He is also the embodiment of God in human form so that He could come and reconcile us to Himself. Jesus fulfilled every prophecy from the Old Testament about the Suffering servant and the Son of God and every other reference to Himself found there. No other human could do that if He were not God in human form. The celebration of Easter is coming up soon and many people will celebrate it with candy and egg hunts and some will even give presents but this is not the reason we celebrate it nor should it be.

Easter fell during a celebration of First Fruits in Israel since Jesus was the “first fruit” to be raised to life eternal. Read the account of His resurrection in Luke and then His ascension to the Father in the first chapter of Acts. Read these accounts and learn more about our risen Savior because He is coming back!
