Do you believe in God?


Here is a simple explanation between believing or not: when asked if there is a God, a theist says “yes”, an atheist says “no”, and an agnostic says “I don’t know”.

You can choose to argue if you wish, but the answer is the same. Life and creation can prove that God exists, although most atheists choose to believe that evolution caused everything to form spontaneously. In my view, it takes far more faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe in God or the Bible itself. Where do most people seem to be in this description of beliefs?

Here is a breakdown of some beliefs or lack thereof:

When pollsters like the Pew Research Center survey people who are religiously unaffiliated (often called “nones”):

  • Nothing in particular: The majority of unaffiliated individuals (about 63% in the U.S. and similar majorities globally) describe their religion as “nothing in particular” rather than adopting the label of atheist or agnostic. Many of these individuals still hold spiritual or vague higher-power beliefs.
  • Agnostics: Make up about 20% of religious “nones” in the U.S. (or roughly 6% of the total U.S. adult population), identifying with the view that the existence of God or the ultimate truth is unknown or unknowable.
  • Atheists: Make up about 17% of religious “nones” in the U.S. (or roughly 4% to 5% of the total U.S. adult population), explicitly rejecting the belief in God or deities.

My blog has always been written by a Christian, so yes I do believe in God and His Word, the Bible. There is no reason to ask the question about whether there is a God or not because the heavens declare His handiwork. Yet, the most beautiful area of the United States, in my opinion, has the most non-religious people in it. I’m speaking of New England. I drove through there many years ago and the mountains and trees were so beautiful, I thought “God was having a good day when He designed this part of America”.

Belief in God is not a requirement for living but it should be. A baby is formed in the womb by cell division and multiplication and God places all of our characteristics inside each of us before we are born. He told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you…” God knows each of us in such an intimate way that it cannot be denied but many people choose to do so.

What does it take?


Does it take miraculous healing in your life for you to believe in Jesus? Some do feel this way. They are “asking for a sign” just as those who crucified Him. He told them that “no sign will be given to you except for the sign of Jonah“. What does that mean exactly? Jesus spoke of His burial after the crucifixion where He would spend 3 days in the grave and then rise again.

But He didn’t spend three days in the grave? According to the way the Jewish calendar marks days, He did. Their calendar is based on the lunar cycle and they count days beginning and ending at sunrise and sunset. He was arrested during the night of Friday, beginning of the day, His “trial” lasted into the early morning, and then His body had to be taken down before sundown which was the beginning of their Sabbath. Then, of course, the third day began at sundown on the Sabbath and by sunrise on the first day of the week, His tomb was empty!

So, what does it take for you to believe in Him for your salvation? He came out of the tomb just as He said He would. He stayed with His disciples for 40 days and then ascended into the clouds. Even the angels who spoke to the disciples on that day said He would return in the same way when He comes back. Isn’t that enough proof?

I know, there are also people who don’t believe that the Bible is true. Well, I don’t have the patience or the knowledge to prove the Bible to you except to tell you that ALL of the prophecies contained in it’s pages have come true except for the taking up of the church (the rapture) and the prophecies contained in the book of Revelation. So, if you are stubborn enough to ignore all of the evidence then you are welcome to enjoy the wrath of God during the Tribulation. Thank you for your attention.

This is bringing our country to its knees. What has happened to the preachers and the seminaries that teach them? We are supposed to be preaching from God’s Word not changing it to fit the “congregation”! God’s Word shouldn’t be watered down to make people feel better!

One day soon…


Whether you believe in God or in anything that has been written in the Bible, this will come about when He says it is time. None of God’s promises have fallen away empty and unfulfilled, they are just waiting to be done in the time that God has allotted for them to be.

Do people look at God’s Word and think that it has been too long since Jesus was here. He’s not coming back. Many people do think this but until the time of the Gentiles is completed, we will wait. It may be a week or a month or possibly a year or more but all of the prophecies and promises will come to pass in His time, not in ours.

On that day…


When the Lord sits in judgment of the world and how we have lived and worked in it, whether we served Him or not, there will be millions of children who will testify against their parents and those who took their lives before they even had a chance. God will take up their cause and they will have justice.

This is a very disturbing thing to consider but there have been over sixty million children aborted in the past 48 years in America. I don’t know the numbers in other countries of the world but I suppose there are many, many more in the entire world. But…on that day when God takes up their cause, there will be weeping and crying from those who have killed the children that God had sent to them.

This world and its troubles and trials and all of the other problems that are present today is going to soon come to an end. Whether you believe the Bible or in God or not it has been prophesied by Him and therefore it will happen. It may be a few more years but it could begin tomorrow as well, nobody on Earth knows that day or hour but God knows and it will come to pass.

If you are interested in finding out more about what will happen soon, read the book of Revelation because it tells it in detail. You might want to pick up a more modern translation for it because the King James version has descriptions of some things sounding too fantastic to believe. I pray that you will receive a blessing from reading it because it is the only book in the Bible that says specifically “readers of this book will be blessed“.

Can you tell the difference?


My dear children, you come from God and belong to God. You have already won a big victory over those false teachers, for the Spirit in you is far stronger than anything in the world. These people belong to the Christ-denying world. They talk the world’s language and the world eats it up. But we come from God and belong to God. Anyone who knows God understands us and listens. The person who has nothing to do with God will, of course, not listen to us. Sometimes we can hear it when someone else talks about something that they have an opinion about. The truth is evident in the words that they speak about their beliefs. Then you come across someone else who is not speaking of what they know but what they want from you. Deception can take all kinds of shapes and change them to fit whatever the agenda may be, make sure you know the Bible well enough to spot the difference.

Do you disciple?


Many of us on this platform tend to write a bit. Some in short, quick reads and some a bit long. But…have you ever thought of yourself helping others along the road to be a disciple of Jesus? You know, He didn’t go out trying to bring out the BIG crowds but they came to Him because of His message and the miracles. They needed healing but many wanted the food which was provided so miraculously because of His thanksgiving. Some only came for the miracles but there were many who came to hear His message.

Then as His ministry was coming to an end, He taught a few lessons that were a bit hard for the crowds to understand and some that they didn’t like at all. The life of a follower of Jesus, a disciple, wasn’t easy in those days and it hasn’t really gotten easier today, although we have many more “things” to cling to than a money purse and a staff. Even when you make your life as simple as you can these days, we are still wealthy by most of the world’s standards.

So how do you make a disciple? Well, you have to get to know the people in your study group. You can’t lead a study group unless you do know them. In today’s culture that is hard to do because many people don’t want to know their pastor or their teacher in a close and personal way. Today with the disease that is running rampant all over the world most people don’t want to be in the same building with their pastor. Not because they think he is sick but just because of the possibility that he might be. We are allowing a virus, a messenger of Satan, to dictate whether we have fellowship in God’s house. The church, that is the people who are gathered, should be faithful enough in God’s power to come together and worship Him in Spirit and Truth!

Being a disciple of Jesus means much more than visiting a church on Sunday morning. It is reading and studying His Word every day of the week so you will know His voice when He speaks. Your life can be much healthier and more productive when you have His Word stored in your heart and when you read it every day it is like eating manna, it nourishes your soul because it is God’s spiritual food for your soul.
