Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matthew 5:14 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.5.14.KJV

Is your church teaching it’s members directly from the Word of God? If not then there’s something terribly wrong. Jesus Christ told the disciples to go and preach the Gospel, the Good News, to all who would hear. This was done in the early church before the crusades.
Ever since then, the “church” has been through many changes. Some were good but most were not. The original church tried to live peacefully with those who did not believe. Then, there was the Roman Catholic church that incorporated many pagan beliefs into it’s services to attract the pagans. Later, the church began to break up into denominations. After the Reformation happened, the church became…the best term for it would be fragmented.
Different teachings of doctrine and differing interpretations of the Bible’s message. The “big national churches” wanted to keep people from reading the Bible which was written in Latin and so the service was also done in Latin until Tyndale and a few others began to translate the Bible into English so that a common man could read it and come to Christ. So in many ways, the church has spread the message of Jesus Christ and it has also hurt the message as well.
We are supposed to study and learn from God’s Word so that we can take His message to the world around us. At work, at school, on the street, at a restaurant or anywhere else you come into contact with someone who is searching for the Truth of Jesus and His message of a loving God Who is willing to forgive you and save your soul from the punishment that we deserve for turning away from Him. Jesus came to bring that message to all who would listen and embrace the salvation that is offered by His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection too.
That is our blessed hope. He said that He would come again and take us to His home in heaven and we are closer to that now than we have ever been. I pray that you will seek Him out as your Savior soon because we are not guaranteed tomorrow. God loves you and if you have felt Him touch your heart don’t turn Him away.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.13.35.KJV

We are not supposed to seek ways to hurt each other. If you believe in Jesus for your salvation, you should show love to those around you. Reflect His love and compassion for every person that you meet today and see what a difference it will make.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.1.14.KJV

God planned for this even before the fall came to the Garden of Eden. He knew that mankind could not stay faithful to Him so He planned our salvation even before bringing Adam from the dust of the Earth. God knows you even if you don’t know Him. Seek out the Lord for your salvation while there’s time.
Some of you who read this page may not think so but if you are past the age of forty you kn it’s true. The more candles that are on your cake it seems that the celebration of your birthday comes around faster every year. It’s just the opposite of when you were young. We never thought our birthday would get here and Christmas always seemed so far away.
It doesn’t matter if you celebrate the day of your birth or not, the days go by in the same way every year and every week. The hours in a day have not changed and the same goes for the weeks and the years. It’s our perception of them that has changed from childhood to adulthood.
Time just keeps slipping into the future and there’s nothing that we can do to change that. I know that I used a part of Kansas’ lyrics but it is true. If you are a believer and you read your Bible then you know that we are also coming to the end of the age. How much longer will this be? Nobody on Earth knows for sure but global warming will not end our world it will happen when Jesus comes for His bride, the church, which is made up of those who truly believe God’s Word. Many people and some denominations have gone through the Bible and picked what they will teach and what they will believe and by doing this they are not teaching the full gospel of Jesus or the story that God placed in His Word.
God’s Word is true and it is sound in all of it’s wisdom. One day soon the whole world will know this.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.29.11-13.KJV
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.5.44.KJV

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord , and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:7-10 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.17.7-10.KJV
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.6.21.KJV

Your attention follows your heart. So wherever your heart is and wherever your treasure is are the same place. If you value your money more than you value your life, then you have made money your god. What will it profit a man if he gains the wealth of the whole world and yet loses his soul? Jesus asked that question. The quote just says “if he gains the world”, but I looked it up in a few commentarys and the word means the entire wealth of the world.
That would be trillions of dollars today, but what would you do with it? For sure you could buy anything that you set your mind on, but God says that you would lose your soul. He values your soul as being worth more than the wealth of the world. Give your heart to Jesus and seek Him for your treasure.
Most of the time I write here to bring God’s message to anyone who would enjoy reading it or maybe someone who was searching for His message. Right now however I am living with a conundrum of sorts: feeling alone even when I’m at home or at church. It doesn’t matter where I am really. This feeling hits in a way that most people don’t notice it which makes the feeling even worse because it is like I don’t exist.
So…what can I do about it? Other than read some chapters in Psalms and pray about my situation…my feelings, I really don’t see any possible cure or treatment because no one besides myself even notices that anything is bothering me. If I tell them how I feel, all I usually get is a look that says “So?”. To put anyone’s mind at ease who might actually care I am not considering suicide, even though it does cross my mind quite often.
I have had these feelings since high school so this isn’t an “age related” problem. This has been with me for over forty years. Although most people never notice it regardless of how close we might be. It isn’t anyone’s fault because the feeling will go away for a while and then some days it comes back so hard until I feel as if I’ve lost a close friend or family member and I begin to sob uncontrollably. I know…not like a man to admit something as insignificant as a feeling that can do such a thing. If you don’t want to know how I feel some days, then don’t read this.
Thankfully, this doesn’t happen every day but there are days that it comes and it won’t go away for a week or two. When that happens I just try to glaze over it and keep it to myself since I can’t afford to go to some “mind doctor”. I do want to take the time here to thank those of you who might have read this far. God is still in control regardless of our feelings or the outcome of an election or even a pandemic. All of us will get through this one way or another. I am still keeping my eyes glued to the sky each time I go outside just in case I see the sign of the cross or something that isn’t caused by natural weather.
Praise God for all of your gifts and your blessings because He does give graciously.
