What is goin’ on in this world!?

All of the badness and craziness in the world, why is it happening? It’s not just here in America, it is everywhere. In Europe, in the Middle East, and in Africa everything has changed. The world seems to be getting darker and more violent toward anyone who is not a Muslim, why is that? Simply, it is because their so called “holy” book says to do so if they, the infidels or unbelievers in the religion of Islam.

This so-called “religion of peace” does not advocate peace with others unless they convert to Islam. If they are Christians or Jews, they are to be killed if they do not convert and if they do convert, they are still to be treated badly. Our world is changing due to their intolerance of others and because of an old rivalry which started long ago with Ishmael.

God said that Ishmael was going to be the father of many princes and he is the father of all the Arabian nations which surround Israel. And all of them hate Israel, Jews and Christians because of their religion, Islam. The problems are being caused by the differences in religions but also by Satan, who is responsible for these problems in the first place. The problems that our world faces are caused by all the sin in the world because of the influence of Satan and his demons that influence the world and the world’s “religions”.

Jesus said that this would happen and that there would be a falling away from Christianity in the latter days. It is beginning along with the other problems in the world like famines, diseases, wars, etc. If these are not enough to bring you to Christianity then read the Bible and pray! He is the only One who knows what and when these things are going to happen because He prophesied them to come to pass. It is the only true book which came from God and the Word in it is His Word.

Humanity, the ungrateful child

A wealthy man had a son whom he loved very much.  He gave him gifts.  He spent every moment of the day teaching and caring for his son.  But as the boy grew into manhood, he turned away from his father and came to despise him – yet his father continued to support him hoping that he would come around.  He paid his bills, furnished him with a home and wrote to him.  But, instead of being grateful, the son ripped up the letters, ended all contact with him and cursed anyone who dared mention his father’s name in conversation.  However, he never stopped taking his father’s support.

Sadly, this ungrateful son illustrates humanity.  God is our heavenly Father and many of us imitate the son’s attitude.  God spends every moment with us, whether we know it or not:  giving, teaching and caring – yet, many turn away.  In spite of this, God still continues to care for us with the desire that we will come around.  He supplies us with the riches of the universe, things that cannot be measured in wealth (like sunshine, oxygen, gravity, atmosphere, environment and more); He has paid our bills (Christ on the cross) and written to us (the Bible).  We may curse God – but isn’t it ironic that we still expect Him to continue supporting – which, as the perfect Father, He does.

What would happen to us if we woke up one day and the sun had dimmed to one-tenth of its output? Or if the magnetic field which protects us failed and we were exposed to the radiation of the full spectrum, not just the visible light that we have come to know? Would we blame God or would we pray and repent, asking for His protection again? What would we do in that situation?

In the current condition that our world is in, we would look for all sorts of scientific reasons for what was happening. We would also attempt to find ways that we could protect ourselves, but if something like that happened to our world the only one who could do anything about it would be ignored. If any of the situations that are outlined above happened, the only One who could do anything about it would actually be blamed for it.  God is the only one that we should be turning to, not Allah, or Buddha or anything else. God loves us all, far more than we would ever understand. He is outside of time, for He created time. That is why all of time is seen by Him, today, yesterday and tomorrow are all there for Him to see. He knows exactly how long each of us has to live and serve Him, and He knows if or when we will come to know Him personally.

Our Lord created everything and everyone who ever lived or ever will live on this earth. He also created those who were supposed to be born but weren’t for one reason or another and even though He is in control, He doesn’t because He wants us to have the freedom to choose. Whether it is the choice to live for Him or the choice to have a baby or to finish school and become a doctor or whatever you want to be. Our lives would not be what they are if He controlled us to the point of not giving us that choice. He even gave the angels the right to choose to serve Him or not, that is why Satan was cast out of Heaven. He chose to become greater than the Most High, knowing that he could not but that was his choice.

We are, as a people and a planet, blessed to be cared for by the Creator of the universe. Our “frail, blue marble” of a world would not be so perfectly positioned if it were not for His hand. If you consider for a moment that when we breathe and move around in our homes or on the street, there are trillions of chemical reactions and cellular processes which occur all of the time just to move you. If all of these did not work perfectly every day, you-we would die! For instance, in our brains, there are more than one hundred thousand chemical reactions happening every second. So in the time that it took me to write this, over ten million reactions have taken place just during the last few sentences and that is only one of the organs in the body.

The point of this is that we had to have been created by a Creator who loves us and knows what we will do and what we can do. We did not come to be what we are and where we are because of evolution. Random mutations and accidents do not create life as we know it, God does! Bring your heart to Him and offer your life as a sacrifice so that He can use you, you will never regret it, I promise.

God is present in daily life

Even when you can’t or don’t feel that He is there, God is. When problems come up or tragedy strikes regardless of the form that it takes, He is still in control and there when you call. The times that we are living in and through are tough and will likely get worse, but He is still near.

He is watching over Israel and will continue to protect His people. Christians and Jews as well because we are part of His family. I don’t say this because of some status that I feel because I am a Christian, I am only a servant of His. God loves all of humanity and would like nothing better than for everyone to come to Him. Satan is trying his best to keep that from happening and has been doing so for many thousands of years, so he is good at lying and deceit so much so that he can fool even those who have heard the truth.

In so many ways, our lives today reflect the times and the culture in which we live. It is important that we make sure that our children know the truth about Jesus and the Bible so they will be able to resist when the time comes. The full armor of God is contained in the Bible and in us when we claim Jesus as Lord. We must be diligent in keeping our heart and mind on Him so that our life will reflect Him and not our ideas and problems.

He is our Prince, the Alpha and Omega, the Everlasting Father, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the Good Shepherd. Jesus truly and more deeply loves each of us than anyone else in this world. Satan hates us, all of us, because we were put here to be in charge of this world and not him. We are nothing but mud people to him and that is why he treats us as he does. To conceive of God giving life to a creature formed from clay (mud) and then giving it dominion over the whole earth would only come from the mind of a Creator which could accomplish this.

He is able to accomplish this and more! Read the Bible and pray to the only God who can save you and give your life real meaning now and in eternity. He is patiently waiting for you.

Are you selfish or living for Jesus?

Is it possible to be selfish and a Christian too? Yes, if you aren’t living for Jesus and for His purposes in your life.

Our selfish side is still there regardless of whether we are Christians or not. If we have not given our heart to Jesus, that part of our “old” self is and always will be there. But, there is a way to tame that part of you. Prayer and reading God‘s Word will give you the ability and the tools to be able to resist the temptation of being selfish.

Our life, especially when we are living for Christ, is about so much more than just us. It is about getting the message of Christ and what He did for us, while we were yet sinners and before we were born, out to a world that is searching for answers. The only truth that is available is from God’s Word and if they will not receive it then the fault is their own. Our job is to get the message to them, it is the Spirit‘s job to bring that seed to fruition and call them to salvation.

That is why the commission was given, to the twelve disciples and by extension to the rest of us, to go into all of the world teaching and preaching the Good News of the Gospel of Christ. When we do that, we are doing the will of Him who saved us and of the Father, our Creator.

He loves us enough to do these things and much more on a daily basis, like allowing us to live and see our children grow, to come to know Him and to know that we will be with Him. Those are just a couple of things that our Creator gives to us. Just imagine what He gives us that we don’t realize who it came from. Your job, your friends, your children every good thing that we have in this life came from Him. All of the bad things which happen to us are either caused by bad choices which we made or came as a result of Satan‘s handiwork.

We are in a war between the two, Satan and God, which we know who wins in the end! Our life should be in service to Him who is and who was and who is to come. The Alpha and Omega, the everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace, Jesus who is the Son of God but who is God as well. To be in service to Him is to be in our Father’s will, regardless of the occupation which we have to use to get paid in this life.

The Way, the Truth and the Life

The only person that fits that description or has ever fit that description is Jesus the Christ, our Savior and Lord. King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Mighty Counselor, the Prince of Peace, the Living Word of God….all of these names and more have been written about Him and He is all of them but He is also a carpenter, our Creator, the Messiah and the Son of God.

Wow! Can you imagine! He is waiting for you to come to Him and ask Him into your life as Savior and Lord. How awesome is that! He knows you better than you do and has known you since before you or I were born. There is no other who can do what Christ and His Father can do, no matter what has been told or by whom. He is the only One who can save you into an eternity of love and peace.

Our God is truly awesome and He is in control even if the people in our government don’t believe it. I am praying for them and for our country and for Israel. The beginning of the prophecies leading up to the Tribulation has already started to come to pass and it is going to get worse. Read and study the Bible. Pray about what you read and ask God to open your eyes to the Truth. He will answer your prayer.

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,…” 1 Timothy 4:1

Listen to God’s Word and what it says about this time in history. Other times have been bad, but nothing like what is going on right now and it will get worse. I am not trying to scare anyone and I am sorry if this frightens you but this time referred to in prophecy is not a time that will be enjoyable. Please come to Christ, He is patiently waiting for you.

Do you want to believe?

There are many religions in the world and many religious people doing religious things in the name of their “god” or whoever it may be that they are worshiping. Who benefits from all of these religions? They all can’t be true so where do you go to find the Truth?

When man was placed in the Garden of Eden, if you know of the story, who was there to talk to and walk with him? God, Elohim, the Lord of Hosts, the Creator that is who. The Creator and Master over all came and walked with man in the Garden. But, there was also another there who hated man and his Creator, Satan. He was there to tempt and beguile and twist the words of God so that he could cause pain and suffering to come into the world.

That is where all of the suffering and anguish came from. God said that His creation “was good” and if He pronounced it good, then it was. There was no suffering, no death, no pain until Satan caused man and his mate to fall for his lies or his twisted truth. The religions that came into existence between the beginning and today, other than Judaism and Christianity, were all brought to fruition by Satan himself. By manipulating and appearing to prophets as an angel of light he could easily convince anyone that he came from God. He was named the light-bringer at one time before he decided to claim the throne of God so nothing is too hard for him to do except that he can’t be God.

Satan’s truth is twisted and causes humanity pain and suffering and always has. He is the father of lies and the truth is not in him at all, but he can make it sound so good and convincing that we believe his lies until it is too late and then he just laughs at us because we fell for it. When we fall for the lies of Satan we are susceptible to any of his ways. The only way to resist him is through Jesus and the power of His name and by accepting Jesus as our savior. Once you do that, Satan can still tempt you and harass you but he won’t have complete control over you.

Our God loves us all and wants us to come to know Him as well. Get to know Him through His Word, the Bible or by going to a Bible teaching church but please go regardless of the so-called hypocrites that you may know there. God put you here for a reason and you won’t find it out until you come to Him. Your life will be so much more rich and fulfilling in service to Him regardless of your occupation in life and the plan for “after life” is much better than Satan’s alternative!

Jesus loves you!

The Christ, our Lord and Savior loves all of you, don’t ever forget that! He came here as a babe, grew up, lived his life as a carpenter then fulfilled His calling from His Father to sacrifice Himself to pay for our sins. Everyone’s sin, not just Israel‘s but everyone in the world from the beginning to the end.

I know that Christianity is not very popular right now but if you truly need hope, it is the only place to turn. Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, or most any other religion doesn’t really give you that because of the nature of their teachings. God sent His Son as the Lion of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, to bring the good news of salvation to Israel and the world. This is what was done, but since His people wouldn’t accept Him as the Messiah, the good news went to the world after His resurrection.

He is coming back and according to prophecy and the signs of the times, it won’t be very long. We have waited for nearly two thousand years and the time of the church age is drawing to a close. Once that happens, the world is really going to get ugly. The book of Revelation is not fiction nor is it metaphor. John may not have understood exactly what he was seeing at the time, so his descriptions sound very far-fetched, but the prophecies contained within it will come to pass. Believe in Jesus and what He did for you so your future will be assured and in Heaven.

Do we need Christ today?

Absolutely! No one can save us from the destruction and anguish to come except Him. The catch is that you have to believe what He did and that He did it for you.

“That’s a stretch, dude?” you might say. Are you kidding me, no one would do that for me, would they?  I am not worthy of that. I have done too many bad things in my life, God doesn’t want me to come to Him. I haven’t got the time right now, there are too many things that I want to do first.

These are all comments from people, myself included, who were sure that God couldn’t possibly want them or need them. The truth is that God can use anyone for His purposes. Now, I don’t mean “use” in the way that the world does, with no hope of a reward. I mean that your life can be so much more when you use it for Jesus and for His Kingdom.

The time that we have is all that we do have right now. You and I are not guaranteed tomorrow or even the next hour so we have the time at this moment, what could be more important or more urgent?

The life which we live on a daily basis is the one that everyone sees. God can see your future and what you will do with it, especially what you can do with Him in your life and in your heart. Your life can be so much more than it is when you are following Him. I know that I am repeating my theme here but it is true.

The Creator is able to do all things and His name is Jesus. What you can do with Him is far above what you can do on your own. Give Jesus a chance in your life and you will never regret it and that truth can be be found in His Word, the Bible, so I know that it is true!

We are ambassadors for Christ!

That is the mandate that was given before Christ went to be with His Father. Why don’t we act like it? Mainly, because of pride and selfishness. Christians, who should know better, judge people by the way they dress or how much money they have and sometimes even by the car that they drive. Would Jesus do that? Even when He could have been the judge of those who persecuted Him, He didn’t.

The way that we live and work is a reflection of Christ and His message regardless of the type of work that we do. This should be our goal, to be the best possible reflection of Him that we can be.

If you don’t know Christ, there are ways to get to know Him without becoming a member of a church. Just ask Him to come into your life, and to cleanse you of your sins. That’s it, or rather that is the beginning of it. Your life from that point on will change. As He says in the Bible, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matt. 7:7.

Many people mistakenly think that this means that anything that we ask for, we can get. Jesus was talking about wisdom and the knowledge of God, not “stuff”. Serving God can be and will be the most rewarding experience that you will ever have, if you will follow Him daily.

Going back to your old habits or addictions that were before will only cause you to lose your witness to others. Your salvation is secure if you were sincere about your commitment to Christ, but your service to Him will make a difference in other lives by following Him. You will find yourself wanting to be around other believers and you will likely seek out a church to attend before long which will strengthen your walk with Him.

Give Jesus a try, ask Him into your heart, serve Him through your life. Others will benefit from your witness and they will be a blessing to you as well.

Our Savior and Lord

Do you ever think that you are not good enough to come to Him? Or that you have done too many bad things in your life for Christ to come into your life?

Many people have thought these things before but the truth is that He died for your sins and they are forgiven if you accept Him as Savior and Lord in your life. It doesn’t matter what you have done or how bad it may seem to you. He knew about it long before you did it so your acceptance of His grace toward you is all that is needed.

It sounds too simple doesn’t it? But it is true. God loves you! He loves you more than anyone on earth could possibly love you. God has had plans for all of us since before we were born. He tells us in the Bible that “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

Give Him a chance, read His Word’s in the Bible, pray and ask Him to come into your life. You won’t regret it!
