Who do you rely on?


God wants us. Not our thoughts or our words or even our prayers, He wants us to give our life to Him completely. This is a strange idea to some people who have grown up in the church, especially in America, because our culture doesn’t believe in giving our “self” away to someone, not even God. We are taught to be ourselves and be genuine in our desires and our wants. We are taught to be independent and be our own “god” in a way. That is one reason why our country has moved so far away from faith in God. We have been taught to be reliant on only one person and that person is us, each of us.

God provides for each of us every day yet many people don’t recognize it. First, He gives us another day to serve Him when we wake up in the morning. He also gives us the air that we breathe and our ability to get up and move as well. Everything that we mostly take for granted and even believe that we are responsible for having has been given to us by God. If you are a believer, you have been bought with the blood of Jesus. All of us are part of His creation. Nothing in this universe is here by accident. Even the smallest insect is part of the world that we live in. We may not know what their purpose is but God knows.

Your life and mine are helpful to Him in ways that we don’t realize. Particularly, if you are a believer. Those who know you watch your actions and your words to see if you are living out what you believe. You may not know it but they are. Giving your heart and your life to Jesus is the most important decision you can make. It’s more important than a career or marriage or any other decision once you realize that you need Him. None of us would come to Him for our salvation until the Holy Spirit touches our hearts and we realize that we are nothing without Him. I pray that everyone who reads this will seek to be a disciple of Jesus while there is time.

John 3:16 says it best: Because God loved the world (everyone in the world), He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. (paraphrase)

What are we in the universe?


Life as we know it…


Life is coming to an end. Not in general, like all over the Earth, but we will die one day. So how can we get past that? Truthfully, nobody gets past it. If you don’t believe the Bible, then you will find out precisely what happens and where you will go on that day. Most people don’t like to talk about “end-of-life” issues. They would rather talk about anything else but what may happen at the end. The problem with that is that we don’t know when the end of our life will be. It could be tonight or tomorrow or this weekend or next year. But…it will come.

Granted, the end of the world will happen as well but each of us has an expiration date and we don’t know what day that may be. For some, it is when they are young. For others, they could live to be almost a century old. The time that we are living in, which is the prelude to the Tribulation, will not last very much longer.

Prophecy from the Bible says that what we are experiencing with these wars and conflicts everywhere and the weather events around the world is just the beginning of the “birth pains” leading up to the Tribulation. We don’t know the exact date that it will happen except that the church will be taken up to be with Jesus before the Anti-Christ shows up. God knows the hour and the day, we will find out when the trumpet sounds and we are taken up. Then…the whole world will realize that the Bible and its prophecies are true.

Our trip will not be visual like this representation. It will be more like being transported except it will be instantaneous. The dead in Christ will be taken first and then those of us who are alive will simply disappear from wherever they are. In a car or a plane or at home, everyone who belongs to Jesus will be taken from wherever they are. I pray that whoever reads this will be part of that group.

The Earth is the Lord’s


Resurrection morning…


Sunday, the first day of the week for Jewish people, was when He stepped out of the tomb. The Roman soldiers couldn’t keep Him in the grave, death couldn’t hold Him and, decay had no way to touch Him. Why do some people want to believe He did not come out of the tomb? Some in the world say that this was just made up. He didn’t come out of the grave. If He didn’t, we have no reason to believe in Him. The disciples professed their faith in His resurrection, and most died because of their faith in Him. They wouldn’t have been killed for a lie. 

Jesus told them many times that He would rise after three days and He did. He also told them that He would come again to take them and His church to be with Him in heaven and that is the hope that we live by today. If you believe in Him for your salvation then your heart has been changed because, without a change in your heart, there is no regeneration of your spirit to be saved. Knowledge of Jesus and everything that He said and did for us is not enough to save you. Salvation is by the grace of God and by your sincere belief in His love for you through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to atone for your sins and mine. 

It is your child-like faith and your belief in His atonement for you that brings salvation to your soul. When God’s Spirit brings your heart to know that you truly need Him as your salvation then you come to know Him as your Savior. It is not by our decision or our idea that we need it but it is by the Spirit that our hearts are broken and we realize that we need Him for our salvation. Without His Spirit touching our lives to let us know that we need Him, we wouldn’t seek Him to be our Savior.

God is still moving today and He is the One Who brings the knowledge of our need for Him to us at the proper time. It is only by His touch and His calling that we come to know Him as our Savior. He calls us to be His. Don’t ignore His call when you hear it and feel it.

He is risen indeed!


Wonderful testimony


The little boy put on his clothes for the cold and then told his father: “Ok dad I’m ready” His Dad, the pastor, said: “Ready for what?” “Dad, it’s time to go outside and distribute our flyers.” Dad replied: “Son, it’s very cold outside and it’s drizzling.” The child looked surprised at his father and said: “But dad, people need to know about God even on rainy days.” Dad replied, “Son, I’m not going outside in this weather.” With despair, the child said: “Dad, can I go alone? Please!” His father waited for a moment and then said: “Son, you can go. Here’s the flyers, be careful.” “Thank you dad!” And with this, the son went out into the rain. The 11-Year-old walked all the streets of the village, handing out the flyers to the people he saw. After 2 hours walking in the rain and cold and with his last flyer in his hand, he stopped at a corner to see if he saw someone to give the flyer to, but the streets were totally deserted. Then he turned to the first house he saw, walked to the front door, rang the bell several times and waited, but no one came out. Finally the boy turned to leave… but something stopped him. The child turned back to the door and began to ring the bell and pound the door strongly with his knuckles. He kept waiting. Finally the door was opened gently. A lady came out with a very sad look and gently asked: “What can I do for you, son? With radiant eyes and a bright smile the child said: “Lady, I’m sorry if I upset you, but I just want to tell you that God really loves you and that I came to give you my last flyer, which talks about God and His great love. The boy then gave her the flyer. She just said, “Thank you, son, God bless you!” Well, next Sunday morning, the pastor was in the pulpit and when the service began he asked: “Does someone have a testimony or something they want to share?” Gently, in the back row of the church, an older lady stood up. When she started talking, a radiant and glorious look sprouted from her eyes: “Nobody in this church knows me. I have never been here, even last Sunday I was not Christian. My husband died a while ago leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday was a particularly cold and rainy day, and it was also in my heart; that on that day I came to the end of the road, since I had no hope and didn’t want to live anymore. Then I took a chair and a rope and went up to the attic of my house. I tied a noose and the other end of the rope to the rafters of the roof; then I climbed onto the chair and put the rope around my neck. I then stood on the chair, so alone and heartbroken, I was about to throw myself off the chair, when suddenly I heard the loud sound of the door being knocked. So I thought: “I’ll wait for a minute and whoever it is will go” I waited and waited, but the door knocking was getting louder and louder every time. It got so loud that I couldn’t ignore it anymore. So I wondered, who could it be? No one ever comes close to my door or comes to visit me! I released the rope from my neck and went to the door, while the bell was still ringing and the door was still being knocked on. When I opened the door, I couldn’t believe what my eyes saw, in front of my door was the most radiant and angelic child I’ve ever seen. He’s smile, ohhh, I can never describe it! The words that came out of his mouth made my heart, dead so long ago, come back to life, when he said with the VOICE OF CHERUB: “Lady, I just want to tell you that God really loves you” “When the little angel disappeared between the cold and the rain, I closed my door and read every word of the flyer. Then I went to the attic to remove the chair and rope. I didn’t need them anymore. As you see. Now I am a happy daughter of the King. Since the direction of the boy, when he left, was to this church, I came personally say thank you to that little angel of God who came just in time and, in fact, to rescue my life from an eternity in hell. And replaced it with an eternity in God’s presence. ” Everyone cried in the church. The Pastor came down from the pulpit to the first bench of the front, where the little angel was sitting; he took his son in his arms and cried uncontrollably.

Don’t let this message die of cold; after reading it, pass it on to others. Remember, God’s message can make a big difference in someone’s life, never be afraid to spread it. Can I get an AMEN?
