God is still working!

God is still working!

Many people, pastors included, think that God stopped working after creating everything…He didn’t stop. He has been working behind the scenes and in every country, nation, government building, and office in the world. It doesn’t matter if it is a country that rejects Him and His message, He is still working in the lives of people everywhere. He is drawing them to Himself and bringing those who will come to Him into His family.

Sometimes we think that God is not in control because of all of the evil and hatred in the world but He is still there and in control. He protects those who know Him and those who will come to know Him. The land of Israel is His and the people there are His too, even if they don’t accept Him as their Savior and King. One day, they will. There are miracles every day that many people don’t notice but if you know God and how He works, you can see them. There are people who are alive today that wouldn’t have been alive if He wasn’t in control. There are places that would be in much worse shape spiritually if He did not have control of Satan and only allowed him to do whatever God told him to do and not do.

Life itself would not be possible if there weren’t specific parts of our world that He keeps in running order. He controls the Sun and the weather and everything around us but there are so many who do not see it. It wasn’t an accident that our planet was placed here. Jupiter and Saturn help keep many hazards from making a run toward us and God placed them there for that purpose. Scientists don’t want to acknowledge it but it is true. Even the moon protects us from many threats that we might never know about.

Jesus came to pay all of the penalties for the sinners of the world, past, present, and future. He did exactly that and then was raised on the third day giving us the opportunity to enjoy eternity with Him if we believe in Him for our salvation. God had this planned a long, long time before any of us were here and He loves us in more depth than we can understand. It seems that many people think that our universe was brought into existence by the “Big Bang” and God may have used something like that to begin but I don’t think it was fourteen billion years ago. The Bible says that God stretched out the heavens and that is why they are finding galaxies that are way out there but they look just like our galaxy.

God’s creation is awesome and all of His attributes are shown in it every day. From the blue whales on Earth to the rings around Jupiter and Saturn and Neptune, He created all of it to cause us to have wonder and awe at all of creation and for us to give praise to Him. Seek Him while there is time to do so because the age of the church, the dispensation of grace, is coming to an end. When it does, the whole world will know it and those who haven’t made Jesus their Lord will have to endure the Tribulation.

The immeasurable love of God

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

God loves each of us so much that HE was willing to give His Son as a sacrifice to pay the penalty of all of our sins. They are paid for entirely, all you have to do is believe in Jesus for your salvation and you will be saved. Like the Jewish people in the wilderness who were bitten by venomous snakes for their disobedience and hard hearts, all they had to do to live was to look at the bronze serpent that Moses put on the pole in the camp. Just look at it and you will live. If they didn’t, they would die. Their “looking” at it was with expectancy and they were expecting God to heal them from the snake bites. We have to expect salvation through our belief in Jesus for our salvation.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is just that simple but many people don’t want to believe that it can be that simple. There must be something that they can do or must do in order to gain their salvation! That is the problem today, people expect that they have to help Jesus save their souls but that is not what is required. Those people in the wilderness couldn’t heal themselves. All they could do was believe what Moses told them about looking at the serpent on the pole and they would be healed. Jesus did all the work that was needed to bring salvation to us and it is up to us and our faith to believe in His work of atonement for our sins and we shall be saved.

There is nothing magical about the verse that nearly everyone knows but the belief in Jesus comes to us when God touches our hearts and we realize that we truly need Jesus as our Savior. I pray that everyone who reads this will seek Jesus Christ as their Savior because the time of God’s grace is coming to an end and the world will soon be in turmoil during the Tribulation. Salvation is possible during this time but it will be harder to achieve and live out during this period. God wants as many as will believe to come to salvation and I pray that you will.

Do you have faith?

God grants each of us a “measure of faith”. When we are called to become a child of God, adopted into His family, He gives us the faith to believe in His Son for our salvation. Without faith, we cannot believe! Even the smallest amount of faith will enable you to do more than you can without it.

Faith is something that Christians have that many people don’t understand. Some of us who have been Christians for a few years don’t understand it. We know we have it or we wouldn’t have given our hearts to Jesus. We know God gave it to us because without it you can’t please God or come to know Jesus as your Savior. The Bible says that “faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the certainty of things not seen“. With faith in God’s Word and in Jesus, we know that His Word is Truth and that no power on Earth can keep God’s promises from coming to pass.

Jesus is coming back. There will be a day of judgment on those who have rejected Him. There will be a 1,000-year reign of Jesus on Earth as our King! God always keeps His promises. It really doesn’t take faith to believe this, but it helps. We are near the end of the “Church age” and the very next event will be the “rapture” (taking away) of the Church, the Bride of Christ. When that happens, the whole world will know that God’s Word was telling the truth. At least, those who have ever been in church or heard a sermon about this will know. Everyone else will be blaming it on aliens or swamp gas or who knows what else.

I pray that everyone who reads this will be part of the Bride of Christ because the world is going to become more like hell on Earth after we are gone. Seek Him out and read the Bible. Learn about Him and ask Him to be your Savior. It won’t be impossible to become a Christian after the church is gone but it will be very dangerous to be one.

God loves you!

If you have never thought about that before now…it is the most amazing realization that you can have! The Creator of the universe loves you! Not just the human race but each one of you! Consider that for a moment.

God wanted to spend time with Adam and Eve in person in the Garden and He did for a while. The most amazing part of this story is that He is going to do it again! He has redeemed us through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, and the only part that we have to do to receive His grace and forgiveness is to accept Jesus as our Savior, believing that He did this for me and for you!

Isn’t that the most wonderful news that you could hear especially today with all of the doom and gloom in the media now? God loves you! He loves you whether you have accepted Jesus or not but He doesn’t care for the life that many of us lead every day. By giving your heart to Jesus and reading His Word and praying for strength to be His every day, you can be more like Him than you could possibly be on your own.

Living the life of a Christian is impossible without His strength and His Spirit inside you and you only get those when you come to Him in faith believing that He will do what He said He would do. By accepting Jesus as your Savior and confessing that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness, you can be adopted into God’s family. Give Him a chance to show you how much He loves you in this life so you can spend eternity with Him after this life is over.

Accommodating sin is wrong

Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. What does God want?

This is the question that I asked myself for many years before giving my heart to Jesus. What does He require from me to be a Christian? The answer is two-fold: one, He wants us to obey Him, and in regard to the second question, He doesn’t require anything more than your belief in Jesus as your Savior. There is nothing that you can do that will help you be a Christian.

Jesus did all of the work that needed doing, all you need to do is believe in Him for your salvation. That is it. There are no rules to follow or prescribed actions that need to be done because you and I can’t help Jesus save our souls. It is your faith in Him and your belief in His atonement for you that saves your soul from hell, with nothing required from you other than submitting your life and your heart to Him.

In my opinion, that is what keeps many people from believing in Him for their salvation. It’s too simple! Just believe in Him and be saved. That is what the gospel teaches. As Jesus told Nicodemus, “As the people believed and looked on the serpent on the pole to be cured, so they will only need to believe on the Son of Man”. Today, we want to have a part in our salvation but the only part that we have in it is to respond to the Holy Spirit when we are convicted of our need for salvation. Many people seem to push it away and decide that they aren’t ready yet. They think they will have plenty of time to do this later which is a lie from Satan.

Not one of us knows if we will even wake up in the morning so the thought that you have “plenty of time for that” is very deceptive. Although, people listen to that idea all of the time. When the day comes, and I believe it won’t be long in coming, the church and the believers who have died in Christ will be taken up to meet the Lord in the air. After that happens, there are going to be many who will regret waiting. Don’t put your salvation on hold, listen to that voice that is telling you that you need Jesus in your life.

Life is in His habitation

There are many today who would read that and wonder “what is he talking about?”. Jesus said that He would return and take us to a place that He prepared for us. He is coming, although the world around us doesn’t seem to know it. They are more concerned with everyday things. What they are going to eat or drink when things become scarce? This is the question they are worried about. Jesus said that we shouldn’t worry. The birds don’t worry because God provides for them. The flowers of the field are more beautiful than any clothing designers sell but they only last a day or so, yet we tend to worry about our immediate problems. Why?

Can you change your hair color or make the flowers bloom? God is in control whether you acknowledge it or not. Believe in Him for your provision and live it every day because He loves you more than anyone else! God has a plan and His plans always work out no matter what the rest of the world is doing.

Jesus came to offer and give us life in Him, all we have to do to claim it is to believe in Him and repent of our old ways. Become a disciple of His and daily walk with Him because He loves you and He will provide for you. What makes me say that Life is in Him? Because God is the author of Life! He is the Creator and He gave you life. Just as He gave life to every person and animal and creature on the Earth and He offers eternal life to each of us if we will repent of our ways and follow Him believing that He can and will do as He promised in the Bible!

There is no life in hell. No water, no chance to rest, no “good” thing at all is available to you there. Regardless of all of your “friends” who say that there will be an eternal party in hell, that is not how it will be. Joy and happiness do not have a place there at all. If you want to enjoy life into eternity I suggest you seek Jesus to be your Savior now while there is time because if you die before accepting Him there are no second chances.

Even if it is right in front of them.

Following God’s ways…

Jesus loves you!

Receive His mercy…
