Tell where your hope is from

Amen

The empty tomb

Many great men have lived and died in the world. Some of them lived on the side of evil like Hitler or Stalin and some were on the side of good like Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy. Each of them meant to do what was right in their own eyes and sometimes they tried to do the best thing, whatever it was, for their people and their nation. In the end each of them died. Some died due to war or suicide and others because of other evil men and their intention to kill or assassinate them before they could do everything that they felt was needed at the time.

Even religious leaders in the past like Buddha or Muhammad died. The only One Who died and then rose from the grave was Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. He taught His disciples for a little over three years before the religious leaders of the day finally had enough and convinced Pilate to have Him crucified. His resurrection is the victory over death that we, as Christians, celebrate today. His grave or tomb is the only one that had no evidence for His body except for the burial cloths that were wrapped around Him prior to His burial.

Historians of His day recorded that He died on the cross and was buried according to Jewish law. But He didn’t stay in the tomb. Over the next forty days He was seen by many people, once by as many as five hundred, then just prior to Pentecost He was taken up from the Mount of Olives to sit at the right hand of God the Father. The angels who appeared to the disciples after His departure told them that “this same Jesus will return in like manner“. Our Savior and King is coming back to set up His kingdom on Earth. What a glorious day that will be!

Jesus also told His disciples that “I am going to prepare a place for you“. He is coming back to take the Church to the home that He has prepared for all of us who have given our hearts and our lives to Him. That is the hope that we have because He isn’t in the tomb. Our hope is in Him and His return for His Bride, the church. There is nothing left on God’s prophetic calendar until He calls us to be with Him except maybe one or two more people that will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It could be more or it could be only one more person, only God knows the date and the hour that the call will go out for us to come up here.

Are you holy?

The definition of the word “holy” is a life devoted entirely to God or the work of God. Sometimes you read that God is holy and He is, but we are set apart for God’s work when it’s used about us. When we are saved through the Holy Spirit’s work in our hearts, God’s work is our work! Your life is given to you by God and we are on this Earth to do His work especially for His purpose and He has given each of us the ability and the talent to do this each and every day!

Consider this: you have the answer to eternal life that will save each person from an eternity separated from your Creator and your Savior. Why would you keep that information from someone that needs to know that they are loved beyond measure by the Creator of everything? There are so many people today who have taken their lives because they feel unloved, unwanted, and depressed because they don’t know about the Savior Who gave His life so they could have life into eternity.

Your life can be changed by Jesus with one simple prayer and your belief in Him and His work on the cross for you. A child can understand it, even one that isn’t very old at all. God loves you and He has loved you since the beginning, even before the Earth was created. Why do people continually think that everything came about by accident? You and your eyes and the elephant in Africa and the smallest bird were all created by God. Not one of these came about by some accidental coming together of molecules in some primordial soup.

Eternity is a very long time and it is where we all go after this life is over. Your destination in eternity is determined by your decision about Jesus and whether you have asked Him to come into your heart and bring salvation to your life. When you feel the touch of the Holy Spirit that convicts you that you need Jesus as your Savior, you have to make that decision. Will you accept Jesus as your Savior or will you tell the Holy Spirit that you aren’t ready yet so come back next week or next month.

What if you don’t have a week or a month? If you had a wreck in a car tonight or tomorrow night and you haven’t settled this before you die then you will go to hell. Not because you are a bad person. Not because you forgot to give a tithe to the church last week. You will go to hell because you didn’t ask Jesus into your heart when you felt His touch and you knew that you needed Him as your Savior. A decision to put it off is a refusal of God’s grace and mercy through the blood of Jesus and that decision is the one that will send you to hell.

If you have a chance to tell someone about Jesus and His sacrifice for their life and yours, you have to do it. Even if they won’t accept it or they get mad and walk away, tell them that Jesus loves them and He died so that they could have eternity ahead of them. This life doesn’t last forever. We only have seven decades or maybe eight if we have good health, but just consider how long eternity is and how short our life actually is in comparison.

The periods at the beginning of those lines is how long our life is in comparison to just a small portion of eternity. Think about it.

You are never alone

Many of us think that we are alone, even when we are in a crowd. Sometimes this feeling gets to be overwhelming and people think of suicide because the loneliness feels like it is crushing them. I’ve felt this way myself although I’ve usually prayed about it and God has given me peace enough to carry on.

Anyway, when you have accepted Jesus as your Savior you are never alone because His Holy Spirit is always there to comfort and guide you through troubled times. He never leaves you once you have truly opened your heart to Him and asked Him to come in and save you from yourself. It is your sins and your own life that is at stake after all. God knew this long before any of us were born. Jesus did all of this because of His love for us.

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, whether you have been taught this or not, it is the Truth of Scripture. God’s Word is true in all aspects, I pray that everyone who reads this will seek Him for their salvation. This age that we have lived in for nearly 2000 years is coming to an end. There is nothing which has to happen before Jesus calls His Bride, the church, to come home except the salvation of those who have been called by the Holy Spirit. If you have felt this in your heart, please seek your Savior soon and accept Him as your Savior.

God loves you and He has paid the price for our sins through the sacrifice of His Son, the Lamb of God. Do not refuse this gift of God because it has been given to each of us. The greatest gift ever given to humanity in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the only way

Jesus is the only way for your salvation. Seek Him while there’s time to find Him.

The Lamb of God

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.1.29.KJV

He came to pay the penalty for all of us and He did. All you have to do is believe in Him for your salvation.

Time…

Scientists say that the universe seems to be winding down. Winding down to what exactly? Well, the answer to that would require you to have faith in the One Who made all of it. The Bible is full of prophecies and the only ones that haven’t come to pass yet are the ones in the book of Revelation. Truly, there is nothing standing in the way of His return except He may be waiting for one more soul to decide to follow Him. That’s about all that could keep Him from calling His Bride, the church, home.

Time is winding down to the “end of the age”, the church age, and that is where we are right now. How much more time do we have? I haven’t a clue. It could be a day or a week or six months or three years, only God knows the exact day and hour. We should be doing the work that Jesus gave us to do until that day comes. Keep looking for Him, studying His Word and be in prayer for those who haven’t made the decision to follow Him yet because it could be someone you know that is the last person that God is waiting on.

The parable of the ten virgins tells us what we need to do and that is be prepared for His return at the time of His return. You can’t get ready when the trumpet sounds, you have be ready when it sounds. Because once the call goes out for those who have passed on before us to rise and then those of us who are alive will meet them and the Lord in the air, there will be no getting ready. It will happen “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye” and then we will be gone.

At that time…the world will change so drastically from that day on until the Earth will not seem to be the same place at all. From that point things will get progressively worse for those who are left. God has not forgotten you and you can still give your life and heart to Him but it will be much more difficult. People will turn in their own family to the authorities when Christian beliefs are outlawed. Many other things will happen during those seven years after the taking away of the church and all of them are outlined in the book of Revelation.

I pray that anyone who has not made their decision to follow Jesus and have Him come into their heart and change them will do so…soon. We are not guaranteed tomorrow so make sure of your salvation while you can.

Place your trust in the Lord

Amen

Punishment and payment

We are a race born with a natural bent toward sin because of Adam. If you told a little child not to eat these cookies and you caught them doing so, most would tell you that they didn’t eat the cookies. Even if you caught them with crumbs on their clothes and their hand coming out of the jar! They’ve not been taught to lie but they will when they are caught doing something they know is wrong. It is this natural tendency that stays with you and me for our entire life and that is the reason Jesus Christ had to pay the penalty for all of our sins.

So why was it so important to God for Him to do this? Because He wanted our relationship to return to the way it was in the Garden.

He wants the relationship to be as it was because it won’t be tainted by the stench of sin and rebellion. That is the only kind of relationship that will be present in Heaven. We will be able to go to Him at any time and He will answer us even before we ask our question.

Oh, how I am looking forward to that day! When the sky opens up like a scroll and the Trumpet of God sounds and the dead are raised to immortality and those who are alive and have remained faithful to Jesus will follow them. The whole world will know that our God is True and faithful and there will be no denying it.

I pray that anyone who reads this will seek to know their Savior before that day comes.

On that day…

When the Lord sits in judgment of the world and how we have lived and worked in it, whether we served Him or not, there will be millions of children who will testify against their parents and those who took their lives before they even had a chance. God will take up their cause and they will have justice.

This is a very disturbing thing to consider but there have been over sixty million children aborted in the past 48 years in America. I don’t know the numbers in other countries of the world but I suppose there are many, many more in the entire world. But…on that day when God takes up their cause, there will be weeping and crying from those who have killed the children that God had sent to them.

This world and its troubles and trials and all of the other problems that are present today is going to soon come to an end. Whether you believe the Bible or in God or not it has been prophesied by Him and therefore it will happen. It may be a few more years but it could begin tomorrow as well, nobody on Earth knows that day or hour but God knows and it will come to pass.

If you are interested in finding out more about what will happen soon, read the book of Revelation because it tells it in detail. You might want to pick up a more modern translation for it because the King James version has descriptions of some things sounding too fantastic to believe. I pray that you will receive a blessing from reading it because it is the only book in the Bible that says specifically “readers of this book will be blessed“.
