We should NOT be afraid!

Our world is persecuting any form of Christianity or Christian belief. Some of the ways this is being done is by shaming us or businesses owned by Christians but this is only the beginning. Jesus said that these “pains” would come before the time of the end and we have been living in this period of many pains for the last few years. Belief in Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and it is our obligation to tell others about this. So why are there so few people who will answer a survey for Him and say that they are His followers? Is it because they are not His but are just pretending to be?

In Luke 12:4-5 it says: 4“Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. 5 But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.

Tell others about your faith and in whom you have placed your faith because faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. Life here is swift and short but eternity comes after we die. Make sure of your eternal home and that it is with your Savior and not with those who have only visited the church occasionally. That day is coming when He is returning for His church and all of those who have believed. It is not a long time away, it could be tomorrow. So make sure today.

God loves you and He wants the best for you. He doesn’t ask or require you to do many works and memorize His Word so you might gain access to Paradise. All that you have to do is respond in faith when you feel Him touch your heart. Believe in Jesus Christ for your salvation and then you will do the things that He did by telling others about your Savior.

Jesus told His disciples to go into the world and tell others about the gospel. The good news is about salvation through belief in Him and what He did for all of us on the cross. The thief believed and was saved. You were made to have a relationship with God and He wants a relationship with you. He isn’t “up there and uncaring”, He has always cared and loved His creation. From the sparrows to the whales to every human being that has ever lived…God has always loved all of Creation! Just like any parent, He wants to be loved too!

When you feel His touch on your heart, don’t turn away from Him. Life is so difficult right now, but God loves you more than you can comprehend and He is as close as your next breath. If you haven’t given your heart to Him all that it takes is for you to ask Him into your life and your heart. Turn away from your sinful life and live your life from this point on in His love. Remember John 3:16-17: 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

What is most important today?

The faith of a child

Why does Jesus say that we must have this kind of faith? When a child is loved and cared for the faith that they have in their parents is absolute as long as their parents don’t get caught telling them a lie. That is the reason we must have faith in God and His Son, Jesus. It is the kind of faith that we must have if we are to become mature in our faith and as His disciples. We may never walk on water but our faith should be as focused as Peter was on Jesus when he took his first steps on the water.

In the world that we live in today, it is hard to have that kind of faith in things that we can’t see or touch. It is hard to have faith at all because of all of the information, true and not so true, that is available to us every day. So, can we have faith in God? If we are Christians who have had our lives changed because of God’s call on our lives we have a “measure of faith” that He gave us to bring us to know Him. Nothing from God’s Word can be understood without faith and when you realized that you needed Jesus because of your sins it was because of the Holy Spirit placing your faith inside your heart that brought you to that point.

While it is true that the Bible doesn’t state it in those words, this is what has to happen in a sinner’s life before they will realize that they truly NEED to give their heart to Jesus. God loves each of us, whether we return that love or not. He chooses those who will obey Him and do His work while there is time and it is those who truly belong to Him. I pray that all who might read this will seek Him in the Bible and prayerfully consider asking Jesus into your heart. One day it will be much worse in the world and it will be harder to be His so please make your decision soon.

Confession is good for your soul…

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.1.9.KJV

Not only by confession is your relationship with God restored but you are forgiven. You don’t need a priest to confess your sins to, God already knows what you have done. He wants to know if you are confessing out of tradition or because you feel convicted that you need to repent?

God loves you and He doesn’t want anything to come between you and Himself.
