In this life, my dream home is out of reach. Even a small truck is out of reach today, so I will enjoy my family and the time that I have with them. I’m looking forward to the day when I am reunited with my family in Heaven. That will be where my dream home is.
What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?
It’s an ongoing learning process but you learn so much about Him and what His Word says to each of us. Life teaches us hard lessons at times, sometimes we’re too hard headed to learn before the lesson hits us hard. I pray that you will seek God and Jesus Christ soon.
What will your life be like in three years?
I don’t plan for tomorrow except that I am going to vote if it is God’s will for me. There’s no reason to make plans three years ahead of us. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, we can hope for prosperity to bring us to a good place in three years but it’s not a sure thing.
Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?
I don’t want to re-live any part of my life. Every year my life was affected by the circumstances around me. Whether it was my parents divorce or the child support battles, growing up was not fun. So a do over, even if it was possible, will not be useful to me.
What’s something you believe everyone should know.
Regardless of the hype about religion and its benefits, a relationship with Jesus is the only way to gain your salvation from the punishment that is in store for the devil and his demons. I know many people might say they don’t worship the devil but not believing in Jesus Christ still places you in hell.
What is your favorite form of physical exercise?
Cutting the grass.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I’ve felt this way for a long time. From my childhood until about 26 years ago my life felt like something was missing or out of place. The Lord showed up when I found out that I was going to be a father and filled that empty place. I have been learning more about Him and myself since then and that has made all of the difference.
What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?
After I turned 50 it’s hard to lose weight. I can’t exercise in a gym so the only way is to cut back on carbs and cut my yard a couple of times a week.
Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.
My parents got divorced when I was about 5 and my mom and I moved back to be near my grandparents. I’ve lived in this community ever since then but I have never felt accepted.
Even now, as I’m about to turn 63, I still feel like an outsider. Thank God that I am accepted by Him and I will be accepted by Him one day in heaven.
What would your life be like without music?
Without any music in our lives, life would be considerably less enjoyable.
