As we all should do

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ti.2.15.KJV

Lord, our country is in dire need of a true revival. Please send your spirit all over the world today and touch everyone who is struggling spiritually and physically as well. In Jesus’ Holy name, Amen

God is good…

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.11.24.KJV

He will give you what you ask for if it is His will for you to have it.

There’s only One doorway

Amen

There are more written accounts of Jesus before and after the crucifixion than those in the Bible. Seek Him for your salvation before your time is done.

Love is much better!

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.4.18.KJV

Please God…

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gal.1.10.KJV

Be obedient to the Lord and live as His example tells you to from the Bible.

Food can’t sustain you like the Word of God

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.4.4.KJV

Are you confessed or conceited?

There’s more hope for a confessed sinner than there is for a conceited believer. Whoa!

Why? Because of pride. Now, wait a minute. Why should I think about pride?

Pride is the root of every sin and every decision which causes us to try to be more than we can be. Pride causes us to try to do it ourselves and not seek God’s help until we really have to.

A confessed sinner has come to the point where he or she knows that they have sinned and they’re ready to ask for God’s forgiveness. A believer who is conceited has allowed his pride in his “salvation” or even in the fancy church that he belongs to, to cloud his view of his sins.

Why would a person who is saved be so prideful? It could be because they only think they are saved. Pride is the original root of all sins. That’s why Christians should endeavor to stay humble. Don’t ever think or believe that you are more important to God than anyone else! God loves each of us and He cares for each of us far more deeply than we can understand. We are not just “animals” that He placed here! God formed Adam with His hands and then blew the Breath of Life into him so he would become a man with a soul.

The truth found in God’s Word is the truth that our world, and everyone in it, needs to hear. Whether they will understand it and take it to heart enough to seek their Savior is another thought entirely. God knows who will and who won’t accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and one day soon He will send the angels to blow His Trumpet and call His Bride, the church, home. The bad thing about that day will be those who thought they were saved but weren’t. Especially if it happens on a morning that church services are going on.

Believe in Jesus!

Believe in Jesus for your salvation!

To absent friends…

You all know that when we were in high school every one of us thought we’d never get old. We never thought about riding too fast in our cars or even cutting the lights off to see how far we could go without them. When we could get some beer or whiskey, it never even crossed our minds if we would get home safe…we just never thought we wouldn’t make the trip.

In the forty plus years since graduation, a few of my classmates have gone into eternity ahead of me. That is also something that I never considered until we all began our so-called “middle-age” years. Now that those years seem to be coming and going faster than I ever thought they would, it seems that there are fewer friends from high school left than there used to be. Even though life got in the way of most of us getting together even for a visit sometimes, we still considered each other friends because most of us in the class of ’79 had come through school together.

The best part of being friends is that we can get together and begin to catch up almost where we left off. Except for those who are absent from us right now. I pray that one day there will be a great reunion in heaven. I also pray that all of you will be there. Seek Jesus and give Him your heart so that we can have a great reunion there one day soon. Thanks for all of the memories.

Heal me, Lord and save me from my stupidity

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Psalms 51:1‭-‬2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.51.1-2.KJV

Why did I put the word stupidity in the title? Because we are. Compared to the wisdom of God our wisdom is stupid. But…God loves us in spite of our shortcomings. Seek His wisdom today and walk with Him until He comes for His Bride, the church.
