Believe and declare!

Give thanks to Him

What will it take?

There have been hundreds of sermons preached in America and around the world, maybe even thousands since the time that Jesus Christ was here. How much more preaching will it take to get people to realize that God’s Word is true? God inspired the men of Israel to write the books that they wrote and yet we think that the Bible is just some old, dusty book and nothing more.

Consider the parable of the pearl. A merchant found a pearl. Perfect in all of its dimensions and without a flaw. He sold everything he had in order to purchase this pearl. This is exactly how God views each of us. Our soul is worth more to Him than all of the wealth in the entire world and in today’s economy that would be in the trillions of dollars. I’m not speaking of the human race, I’m talking about your soul or my soul. God values each of us that much. So much in fact that if I had been the only person to be saved by the death of Jesus on the cross…He would’ve still died just for me or you or any one of the billions of people on Earth.

Not only does God value us that much but He loves each of us that much. It doesn’t matter if you are Jewish or a Gentile, God still loves you that much. Just think about that for a moment. Is there anyone that you would give your life for like that? I can think of a couple of people but to do it for someone I don’t know…I don’t think so. The thing that we have to remember is that God knows each of us and He knew us long before we were born. He knows each person intimately enough that He doesn’t wonder what kind of person we will become because He already knew that long before we were born.

I pray that each person that reads this will think about this for a few minutes. Consider how much God cares for you and that He would’ve died for you even if you were the only one that could be saved by His death on the cross.

Forgive others…

Is your crown bent?

I have fallen and gotten back up so many times in my life. Mostly because of alcohol and just plain stubbornness. The fact that I am writing here is a testament to God’s faithfulness that He will not let go of us even when we try to get away. Jonah found this out and I did too. God called me to become a preacher in 1983 but I didn’t want to. I knew who He was and I knew about the salvation that was offered through belief in Jesus but I didn’t want to proclaim it as a preacher.

I felt that I had done too many things wrong in my teenage years. Everyone in my school knew about the drunk that I was. I had wrecked two cars that my Mom had allowed me to use. I had spent many days recovering from those injuries in the hospital during different school years but still…the effect on my “reputation” was the same. I knew that I could not preach salvation in our community because my crown was bent in more than one way.

The thing that I didn’t realize about Jesus was this: He doesn’t require us to be perfect. He changes us so we can be His representative wherever we are. Even if the people in your community know how you were or what you did, He can change you so that your message is fresh and meaningful to those who hear it. God has used so many flawed people over the years and He can use your witness regardless of how deeply you stepped off of the path to Him. It doesn’t matter how far you got from Him, He can bring you back to the pathway that He needs you on.

Give Jesus a chance and He can make you into His disciple and His missionary to whoever He needs you to talk to. It may be only one person that you can have an influence on but He knows that you are the only person who can do it.

Our God is our Rock!

Do you believe the Bible?

The Bible is at least one-third prophecy and many people discount it as just an old book.

We are living in a time of prophecies being fulfilled before our eyes and yet many are not paying attention. Why? Because more than two-thirds of the world doesn’t believe the words in the Bible. Many of them know of the Word and the Bible but there are many who do not think that those words are the Truth.

Nearly all of the prophecies of the Bible have come true already and many more that pertain to this time in history are being fulfilled almost every day. God doesn’t want anyone to be cast into hell with the devil and his demons but so many refuse to follow Jesus today and will be cast away from Him. Knowing about prophecy and Scripture and Jesus is great but knowledge is not enough. You have to believe in Jesus for your salvation and repent of your sins and follow Him until the day He returns for the church, His Bride.

God is coming back in the Person of Jesus Christ as King! This will happen at the end of the seven years of Tribulation but it will happen. God always keeps His promises and Jesus said He would return to rule as King for one thousand years. If you don’t believe in Him as your Savior, you should. Your eternity depends on it. Jesus is coming back! I believe it will happen in just a few years.

I know, it sounds like I’ve lost my mind but if you read the Bible and the prophecies which point to the time we are living in today you can see that these prophecies are coming true…NOW! The signs of the end are all around us. It isn’t “global warming”, it is the judgment of God on the Earth and those who have ignored His call to be saved. The things happening now are not as bad as during the seven years of Tribulation.

Satan hates us! Why? Because we are made in the image of God. Something that angels cannot know. All of the wars, all of the diseases, everything that has been bad and wrong in our world has been engineered by Satan. God allowed it, but He did so for our souls to turn to Him for salvation. I pray that everyone who reads this will give their heart to Jesus as their Savior soon. We are not promised tomorrow, today is the day of salvation.

God’s Word is true!

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, And mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:3‭-‬4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.3.3-4.KJV

Have you ever wondered about the truth of God’s Word? It seems that many people today are doubting that it is true, especially anything that has to do with Jesus or salvation. My point is that God’s Word is true from the beginning to the very end, yet people are still trying to disprove it by denying that parts of it are true. If any part of it was shown to be false then none of it is true but in over two thousand years not one part of it has been proven to be false. In fact, archaeology has proven the exact opposite. The places and people mentioned in Scripture are real and their existence has been proven by historians outside the Bible and the events and places have been found by researchers.

The truth of God’s Word cannot be denied and soon the whole world will see that, but many will still not believe it. Jesus came to fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets and He did fulfill them all, but that wasn’t the only reason for His coming. He came to bring the possibility of salvation to a world that is still rejecting Him and His Father.

The times that we are living in are not easy with everything that is going on every day. God is still in control whether you believe it or not and He moves things and people as He wishes. His will and purposes will be done and everyone will see Him one day. Seek Him for your salvation soon if you do not know Him yet. I pray that you will come to know Him as I do.

Send me…

Praise God today!

Many of us would ask, “Why should I?”. Life is hard, we are having problems every day. Health problems, financial problems, relationship problems, national and international problems…all of these are happening every day, everywhere, so why should we praise God? Because God is still in control and He gives us the strength and the ability to get through all of these days.

God never promised that we would not have problems but He did promise that He would be with us going through every problem whatever they might be. All of us have had sad days and depressing days, but God is beside us as we walk with Him. If you are an unbeliever, just ask Him to come into your life and help you with the problems that you have. He won’t take the problems away but He will give you the strength and the ability to get through them.

The Bible says that “God inhabits the praise of His people“. When we praise God in prayer or in worship or song, He is very attentive to every word that we are saying. God loves you and cares for you far more than you can imagine. Giving your life and your heart to Jesus will not take the troubles away but it will give you the strength of Jesus and His Holy Spirit to get through whatever comes against you!

Christians don’t get a pass on trouble. Jesus told His disciples that they would have trouble in this world but He said, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world“. Give your heart to Jesus and ask Him to give you the strength for today and then ask the same for tomorrow. Walk with Him every day and the troubles that come won’t be so troublesome. He will get you through each day when you depend on Him.
