End of life

It is a fact of life that we can’t escape the sentence of death. Our lives come to an end at some point. Young or old, famous or infamous, popular or unknown to most people every person comes to that point. Sometimes it sneaks up on us and sometimes it brings our health down slowly but death comes to each of us in one way or another.

I’ve been thinking about this lately because a family member left us about a month ago and then on the news ever since then there have been shootings in local cities and in our nation. There have been some celebrities who have passed away. There have been many around the world that have been killed in wars and other “actions” in places that we don’t hear about until days later. Why am I writing about such a depressing subject as “death”? Because each of us will have to face it in one way or another one day. There is no reason to ignore it or pretend it won’t happen.

The question of the moment is: Are you ready for it? I think most of us would agree that we are never really ready for it unless we have given our hearts to Jesus and we believe that He is our Savior. If we are born again in Him then we are ready for death because it is our doorway into heaven.  If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior yet I encourage you to seek Him out as soon as possible. Why the urgency?

Because of the time that we are living in. We are living in the period just before the Tribulation mentioned in the book of Revelation. The time to seek Jesus as your Savior is today. Don’t put it off. Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ. Please don’t wait until the church is taken from the Earth.
