Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.
It would be very difficult to narrow it down to just one person, one man. My parents were divorced when I was five so my Dad didn’t have a great influence in my life. My grandfather helped my mom raise me so I got some wisdom from him.
The only person who has had a real impact in my life is Jesus. Learning about Him and why He came to save us from ourselves has taught me more about who I should be than anyone else in my life. It’s taken many years of studying the Bible and it will take me more years to learn than I have left. But…I gain more knowledge and faith in Him every day.
Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?
I don’t ever look that far ahead. We’re not guaranteed to have tomorrow so looking ahead a week or a month is about as far as I’ll try to hope for. Wondering about a year from now is foolish in my opinion.
In the story of the Three Wise Men, Herod was troubled by the news of a new King born in Bethlehem. Why would he be afraid of a child who likely had no idea He was supposed to become King until much later in His life? Because Herod was very jealous of his title and his position. He had even killed his own children when he felt threatened.
The Child was born in Bethlehem and would become King in the future, but Herod was afraid of Him even as a baby. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, was this baby and He will be King one day soon. I pray that you will give your heart and your life to Him while there is still time. Don’t put this decision off because it will affect your eternity as well as your life here and now.
Jesus came here to be one of us and live as we live. He did that during the time of Rome’s occupation of Israel but more than that, His ministry started the movement which became the church as we know it. Yes, there have been many changes since then but Christianity lives on. Life would not be the same if Jesus had not been born but He was foretold long before and His Kingdom on Earth is yet to come. I don’t believe that it will be too much longer before He comes again and I pray that many more people will come to know Him as their Messiah.
What cities do you want to visit?
I’m waiting patiently for my trip to the City of God, the New Jerusalem. With everything that is going on today , there aren’t many cities that I want to go to except Heaven.
Life is dependent on us surrendering our lives to the Lord. I don’t mean that your everyday life is dependent on this but your eternity and mine are dependent on giving our lives to Jesus. That is one of the meanings of “take up your cross daily and follow Me”. We are supposed to sacrifice our lives to Him and live our lives walking by Him every single day. At work, at home, in the car, or at a restaurant we are supposed to reflect Jesus in our speech and in our lives so others can see it even if we don’t say anything to them about Him.
Have faith that He will carry you through every day regardless of the pain or the success that you have. He gives you everything that you need to get through every hour of every day.
