I was called to do this and I will do it until my last breath.

How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

There’s a time for everything to happen but most of the important things won’t happen until you put your toys (screens of any kind) down.

What quality do you value most in a friend?

Sincerity. I don’t want a friend who is fake like so many on social media today.

What jobs have you had?

I worked as a grunt for a company building towers for electric distribution in South Florida after graduation from high school. Then, I was in the Air Force until my Mom got sick. Then, I drove an ambulance and became an EMT. I did this for four years before going to the fire academy to become a firefighter for another five years. That takes my work life up to 1990. I’ve had a number of other jobs since then but the most fulfilling job was being a dad and a pastor from 2011 to 2019. Nothing else even comes close.

Do you practice religion?

Religion is a practice and it is one of the ways that Satan traps the world. Being a Christian is having a relationship with Jesus.

What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

I want to let everyone know that Jesus is the Savior and all it takes is for you to seek Him and believe Who He is. God loves you and in Jesus Christ He provided the way for your salvation.

How do you balance work and home life?

Work is what you do in order to have a home. Home life is the part of your life that helps you enjoy your family.

What’s the oldest things you’re wearing today?

My wedding ring. My wife and I will be celebrating 32 years together on June 5.

Are you a leader or a follower?

I follow Jesus Christ. I try to live my life according to His teaching so others might want to follow Him too.
