Put the Lord’s work first

Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. 1 Kings 17:9‭-‬14 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1ki.17.9-14.KJV

God will not let your resource run dry if you faithfully put Him first in your life.

God’s Creation is everywhere you look

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:20 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.1.20.KJV

You cannot escape the evidence of His existence no matter how hard you try. He has loved us since time wasn’t part of the universe. Give God your heart because He gave His life for you.

God knows your needs…

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matthew 6:7‭-‬8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.6.7-8.KJV

God knows what you need but He enjoys hearing from you as well. Ask Him for your needs, tell Him your problems, look at His creation around you and know that He is in control.

Thou art my God!

O Lord , thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.25.1.KJV

Do you tell your “friends” about your Savior? By that I mean do they know, can they tell that you are a Christian? Or do you just act that way on Sunday?

Does Jesus Christ really know you or do you just know about Him? Jesus said that on that last day there will be people who will say “Lord didn’t we cast out demons in your name?” And yet I will say to them “I never knew you”. Would you want to be in that group? I wouldn’t.
