Do you ever see wild animals?

Deer, armadillo, possums, skunks, squirrel all in or around my yard.

What is one thing you would change about yourself?

If I’d started a number of years ago, I wouldn’t be quite as plump as I am. But that’s just me.

Are you more of a night or morning person?

I was a night person when I was working because I had to be. I worked for a few years as an EMT and then later on the night shift as a Medical Technologist. Now I’m closer to being a morning person.

What are your feelings about eating meat?

I don’t want veggie burgers . I ate a pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich yesterday and you can’t do that with tofu. 😊

If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

If I didn’t need to sleep, I would read the Bible every night. Reading it is the only way to know God’s will. You can’t know Him or His will without reading it and asking God to show you what He wants to say to you. I’ve read it every year since 2011 and I find new information every time. Sometimes a verse will tell you one thing and the next time you read it there will be a little different bit of information.

That doesn’t mean that God’s Word is not true, it is the Holy Spirit that teaches you and me when we read it prayerfully. Seeking God’s wisdom is the only reason to read the Bible. That’s what I would do with the extra time if I didn’t need sleep.

Who are your current most favorite people?

I’m not talking about just my wife and my son. My daughter in law has been a wonderful wife to my son. My in-laws are wonderful, loving people. But my family doesn’t end there. The people I go to church with are also my family. We worship together, we cry with each other when there’s sorrow and we praise the Lord when a prayer is answered. These are my favorite people. I pray that you have some like them too.

What are your favorite animals?

I found out 18 years ago that they are the most loyal and loving of companions I want in my life, besides my wife of 31 years 🥰.

Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?

My reason is that they are more beautiful and not quite as crowded during the summer.

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

I’d like to ask Him about creation and lots of things. It’s hard to pin down specifically why because He would be able to answer any question I would have.

What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?

Some people don’t like this time of year because it’s usually cold. I like it because I get to celebrate the birthday of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know he really wasn’t born in December but it’s the tradition I grew up with. His actual birthday is sometime in September/October but we celebrate it at Christmas. God sent Him to us to give us a chance to become His children. His coming wasn’t to bring in a holiday that causes so much debt and other problems. Celebrate the birthday of your Savior this year and it could be your birthday too if you give your life to Him at this time too. Merry Christmas!
