What relationships have a positive impact on you?
What do I mean by that? Relationships that give advice rather than tell you what to do. People who can give you direction but refrain from getting in your way.
Sometimes parents fall into this category but many times they try to get their children to fulfill their dreams rather than listening to their children. Teach without pushing your ideas. Help without doing everything for your children. Make sure they know Who is in control rather than letting them go their own way. God’s Word says that we’re responsible for teaching our children about Him and His commandments for life so they know what they are supposed to do or not do.
