Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil, it has no point. I found this on FB this morning and thought it might be a good reminder for all of us.
We live every day so fast that we hardly give any thought to even giving thanks to God for allowing us to wake up this morning. God has always desired to have a relationship with us, yet we seem to put Him at arm’s length most of the time. Our days on Earth are too short to live them as if we have an unlimited supply. God sent Jesus to sacrifice Himself for our sins so that our relationship with Him could be restored to what it was in the Garden.
We can’t choose to become saved and sanctified but we are chosen by God to become His adopted children through our belief in Jesus and in the work that He did to bring our sins under His blood. Therefore, it is the righteousness of Jesus that God sees when we have accepted His gift of salvation. God only sees Him when we come to the throne asking for healing or some other thing that we ask God for. I pray that everyone who reads this will give their hearts to Jesus and ask Him to come into their lives as their Savior because we are not given tomorrow. Your life or mine could come to an end tonight and we would stand before God then…make sure Jesus is standing with you because alone you cannot stand.
