A great read and so true!
You’ve heard of the “Closer” in baseball games. Our preacher was talking about the Closer in his sermon this week. The Closer is the one who comes in late in the game to save the game.
We all have a Closer in our lives and all too often we invite Him in when it’s late in the game. I like to think of Him as the “Filler” too. He is the one who fills all of our gaps. He fills the void in our lives. We chase after such elusive things in the hopes that they will fill that void. We chase after careers. Prestige. Respect. Political offices. Money. People. Drugs. Alcohol. Homes. Cars. Etc. Etc. Some of these things are good things to have in our lives but not if we are expecting them to be the “All” that we need. My friend, the only All that we need…
