Restitution

Note: Throughout this piece, America is protrayed as a little child to create the fatherly relationship between America and God. It is narrated by a loving father (supposedly a patriot) who offers a rebuke to his fellow countrymen. This is a word of lamentation and mourning for the American people today. Today is a sad morning: Where we not only mourn the loss of a precious life, but we mourn the loss of human dignity. Today, we pray that we seek restitution for stealing this precious gift and finding it unworthy for a man, let alone an African-American, or any race of people, to receive this gift.
